CHAPTER EIGHT

“Guys, guess what!” Claudia exclaimed walking into the living room where Brian, Leigh, Amanda, AJ, and Josie were playing LIFE.

“What?” Nick questioned, walking into the room with a towel around his waist.

“The show tonight was canceled, Some water main broke inside the venue and the whole place is flooded; we get tonight off” Claudia replied.

“Good, at least one day of rest” AJ exclaimed. Josie spun the wheel and won.

“I WON!” Josie exclaimed.

“OK, c’mon how can she go into retirement before us? She works at Blockbuster!” AJ growled.

“No, I’m a police officer in this game” Josie scolded. She got out of the chair she was sitting in and walked over to the kitchen.

“I’m hungry!” Josie exclaimed, searching through the cabinets for food.

“Was it just me or didn’t we just eat pancakes?” Leighanne asked.

“That was like 3 hours ago” Josie replied. Leighanne made a face. Josie grabbed a knife out of a drawer and started to cut up some lettuce for a salad. Nick came up next to her, now wearing a pair of shorts-no shirt.

“Can you cut some up for me?” Nick questioned.

“Yea sure” Josie replied. She looked up at him and smiled. Kevin and Kristin walked in the door, back from breakfast, and sat on the couch.

“There is nothing on TV” Kevin commented, flipping through the channels.

“Keep that on” Josie exclaimed, as Tom Green popped up.

“No, This show is so stupid” Kristin replied.

“It’s funny” Brian and Nick exclaimed in unison.

“Hey, there’s nothing else on” Josie replied. She wasn’t looking what she was doing and instead of cutting the lettuce, she got her finger.

“SHIT” Josie cried out. Nick ran over by her as he saw the blood gushing from her finger slowly.

“Put it under the water” Nick commanded, grabbing her finger and turning the water on. Leighanne ran to the bathroom and grabbed a Band-Aid. Nick took it off the water and brought it to his mouth. Josie blushed as Leighanne walked over by them. Nick took the Band-Aid from her and put it on Josie’s finger.

“All better” Josie exclaimed, pulling her hand from Nick’s reach. She walked over to the TV and sat on the couch. Nick finished making the salads with Leighanne.

“OK, That wasn’t fair” Leighanne exclaimed. After Tom Green was over, Nick hooked up his N64. Brian. Leigh, Nick, and AJ played Mario-Kart for awhile since it was the only one Leigh was good at. Nick had won all the games when Leighanne gave up.

“OK, It’s no use playing you” Leighanne commented. She stood up and walked towards her room. Josie walked in and jumped over the couch’s back, landing between Brian and Nick.

“Whatcha playing?” Josie questioned.

“We were playing Mario-Kart, but I think we’ll play James Bond now” AJ exclaimed.

“OK, Can I play?” Josie asked.

“If you want” Brian replied. They all picked a person and fought against each other. After a couple times, Josie had killed everyone at least once; she hadn’t died at all.

“OK, I think you are the first person to EVER beat Nick” Brian joked.

“You guys forgot I worked at BlockBuster, when there was no one in the store, I played N64” Josie explained. At the end of the level, it said Josie had won.

“I Win, again” Josie coughed. “That must hurt, Just when ya thought NO one could beat ya, I do”

“You want to rub it in anymore?” Nick asked. Josie nudged him and made a cute puppy face. Nick smiled and looked up as Leighanne walked back into the room.

“Hey Brian, I called the vet they said we can pick up Panda, Tyk, and Litty Leigh” Leighanne exclaimed.

“OK, Hey AJ, where’s Amanda so we can pick up the dogs?” Brian questioned.

“I think she’s talking to her friend in the lobby” AJ replied. The guys and Leighanne left. Kevin and Howie plus there girls had left to go shopping.

“So, I guess it’s just us” Josie exclaimed.

“Yep, Is your finger OK?” Nick asked.

“Yeah, it’s fine” Josie replied.

“What do you want to do?” Nick asked. He checked the clock and saw it was 3 o’clock.

“Whatever, what do you want to do?” Josie questioned.

“Well, if we can sneak out the back way, The bodyguard won’t follow us and the fans won’t see us” Nick explained.

“Sound like a plan” Josie replied, while getting up to go fix her hair.

Josie and Nick walked around for awhile before deciding to go back to the hotel. No one had noticed him or her and they took a walk around Central Park. They walked down to Times Square and Nick and Josie stood outside and watched Carson Daly on TRL. Nick had walked over to Dave Holmes and introduced himself.

“Hey there Dave, Remember me?” Nick questioned. Dave had made a face at him, like go away freak. Nick picked up his sunglasses and took off his hat.

“Hey Nick! I didn’t recognize you” Dave exclaimed. He gestured to Josie.

“This is my new girl, Josie Martin” Nick responded.

“Hey Josie, Ever been to MTV Studios?” Dave questioned.

“No” Josie replied. Dave showed them towards some fences and then to a door to go upstairs. Dave went back outside and yelled into the Mike that Nick Carter was there. Josie stayed behind as Nick walked into the studio.

“HEY CARSON!” Nick yelled. Carson turned around as the whole studio went nuts. He interviewed Nick and Nick announced the #2 video by NSYNC. When he was done, Carson and Nick went backstage where Josie was patiently waiting.

“Here Carson, This is my new girl” Nick exclaimed. Josie smiled at Carson sweetly. Nick had never actually asked her to be ‘his girl’, but after meeting so many celebrities and having so much fun, she wasn’t exactly mad that he wanted her to be.

“Hey” Carson exclaimed, holding out his hand.

“OMG, Carson I watch the show always, I love you so much” Josie exclaimed. Carson laughed.

“That’s certainly not what I expected to hear from one of Nick’s girlfriends” Carson joked.

“Its so true, Me and My friend Mel watch you on TV always, I wish I could get a picture or she won’t believe me” Josie exclaimed.

“Well, are you guys coming to that party tonight?” Carson questioned.

“What Party?” Nick asked.

“Yeah, It’s at this one old warehouse, MTV is hosting it, I swore we invited you guys” Carson exclaimed.

“I think you did, but because we had a concert we couldn’t go, but now it’s canceled, So we’ll see you there” Nick commented. Carson smiled at Josie.

“See you Josie” Carson exclaimed.

“Bye” Josie replied. When Carson left, Josie screamed quietly.

“I just met Carson Daly” Josie exclaimed.

“You’re standing next to Nick Carter” Nick joked.

“Who cares, CARSON DALY, C’mon” Josie joked. “So are we going tonight?”

“I guess we could” Nick replied. Josie hugged him tightly, then gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.

“By the way, When exactly did I become your girl?” Josie asked. Nick made a cute smile and pulled her back down the stairs of the studio.
