“You know I wanna come home” Josie explained. Chris sighed.

“If you really wanted to you’d be here by now” Chris replied. Josie thought for a second. He was right. He was right about everything.

“Fine, I’m gonna finish everything here and I’ll be home by tomorrow night” Josie replied. Chris whispered ‘yes’ into the phone. Josie laughed.

“Love you” Josie exclaimed.

“Love you too” Chris replied. She hung up her cell and turned around. She walked into her bedroom and fell onto the bed. She was tired for some reason. She was tired of being so emotional. I must be getting PMS Josie said to herself. She opened her photo album and started to look at the pictures again.

“I love Mickey D’s” Nick exclaimed as he and Brian came into the hotel room. Brian threw his coat on the couch and walked over to the phone.

“Who ya calling?” Nick asked.

“This nurse at the hospital I met. She’s real nice” Brian replied. Nick frowned.

“What about Leighanne?” Nick asked.

“She’s the one that divorced me” Brian replied. Nick stared at him for a moment.

“But you still love her, you gotta try” Nick argued.

“And be like you? Running after someone that doesn’t love you? I don’t think so Nick” Brian replied. Nick looked at him with a hurt look. “Look, I didn’t mean that-I’m sorry. I just don’t like talking about Leigh-I’m gonna run over to the hospital and just see if that nurse is there-I’ll be back later” Brian explained. He grabbed his coat and left. Nick sighed. He was by himself again, like he always was. Nick walked into Josie’s room and saw her sleeping with a book clutched in her arms. Nick walked over and moved her arm slightly and pulled the book from her arms. He opened it up and smiled, remembering he’d given it to her. Nick paged through the book and stopped at the last page were there was a recent picture of Josie that looked like she’d just put in. A guy had his arms wrapped around her waist. Nick sighed. She does love him, not me, who am I kidding? Nick asked himself. He took the book and let it fall to the floor. Nick laid next to Josie on the bed just staring at her until he fell asleep.

“mmmmmm” Josie moaned as she woke up. She stretched out and then turned her head to see Nick’s peaceful sleeping face next to hers. Josie smiled. Lying next to him just felt right. She laughed to herself and moved her face towards his and lightly brushed her lips against his. His hands went around her neck and he pushed his lips against hers hard. Josie was stunned, but didn’t pull away. Nick took that as a good sign so he slid his hands underneath her tank top. Josie helped him pull her tank top off and she started to work on getting his khakis off. She had his zipper halfway down when she suddenly stopped.

“I can’t do this Nick” Josie exclaimed. Nick sighed.

“Josie I love you” Nick argued.

“I love you too, but not like that. All this would be would be a good time, I can’t do this to you or myself” Josie replied.“Did you expect me to just sit around for you and not live my life? I thought I’d never see you again”

“I’m here now and I’m not gonna leave ever again. I love you” Nick explained.

“I’m sorry Nick. I’m leaving tomorrow afternoon on a plane for California and I’m never looking back-Not ever” Josie explained. She pulled her tank top back on and jumped off the bed. Nick sat up and thought for a moment.

“Won’t you ever wonder what your life would’ve been like if you stayed with me? I’d give you anything Josie, I love you so much” Nick confessed. She wanted him to understand how she was feeling. But she knew he never would, she didn’t even understand what she was thinking.

“No Nick. I love Chris and I don’t want to hear anymore about any of this-Got it?” Josie snapped. She wasn’t trying to yell, but she could feel the tears coming up. “Josie-” Nick started. Josie cut him off. “Don’t” Josie replied. She turned her back as a song suddenly came to her mind.

“Can you leave me alone Nick?” Josie questioned. Nick just got up and turned towards the door.

"Everything's always about your feelings Josie. You never seem to care about anyone else. I'm not going to try anymore with you" Nick explained.

With that he turned around and left the room. A few seconds later Josie heard the hotel room door slam. Josie flung herself onto the bed and cried. She couldn’t leave Chris, they were suppose to get married in 3 months on her birthday! She couldn’t stay with Nick because……she didn’t know why…...But she couldn’t.
