CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Josie took her head away from Nick’s lap and looked around the guys private airplane. It was lime green with silver chairs inside. They had a TV, CD Player, Karoke machine, Nintendo 64, it was just like living in an apartment.

“How long till we get to Mississippi?” Josie questioned.

“Another hour” Nick replied checking his watch. They left Wisconsin at 6pm and they would reach Mississippi at 9:30pm. As usual, Kevin and Kristin were wrapped in each others arms, talking softly on the couch/seat of the plane. Leighanne and Brian were playing Nintendo, AJ and Amanda were talking to Howie and Claudia and Nick was sitting with Josie on the other couch. Josie made a face.

“Another hour? Where are we staying?” Josie asked.

“Britney and Justin bought out a 900 room holiday inn, so we got 2 rooms there” Nick replied.

“They bought 900 rooms?” Josie asked.

“Well, they have over 1000 people coming, at least, that’s what Justin told me on the phone” AJ exclaimed.

“Holy shit” Josie replied. She got up and turned on the CD player. ‘Oops I did it again’ came on.

“Wouldn’t it be funny if they played this as Britney walked down the aisle” Leighanne joked.

“Oops you think I’m in love, that I’m sent from above, I’m not that innocent” Brian joked.

“Hey Leighanne, you’ll be nice tomorrow right?” Josie questioned.

“I guess I could lay off her for one day” Leighanne replied, shutting the N64 down and laying back on Brian.

“I was watching the news when they got engaged and I heard she got a 45,000 ring” Josie commented.

“Mine was 15,000” Kristin exclaimed, holding her hand up for Josie to see.

“25,000” Leighanne exclaimed, holding her yellow canary diamond up.

“Well, Explaining to you guys about money isn’t worth it” Josie joked. Nick made a face.

“What is that suppose to mean?” Nick questioned.

“The amount of money you guys spend on your rings is more than I have in my bank account” Josie muttered. Josie looked over the guys CD’s and pulled the old Britney Spears CD out and put it into the Kareoke machine.

“What are you doing?” Amanda questioned, standing up and walking over to Josie.

“I’m bored” Josie replied. Amanda pushed some buttons on the machine and soon behind her a video popped up on screen.

“Just push play and you can sing along” Amanda explained. She started to walk away when Josie grabbed her arm.

“No way in hell am I doing this by myself” Josie growled. Amanda joked and picked up a microphone.

“Fine…I guess I’ll do it” Amanda replied. “What song?”

“Um..Baby one more time” Josie replied. The song started and Josie turned to face the screen.

“Oh baby baby” Josie sang. Amanda laughed and started to join her.

“Oh baby baby, How was I suppose to know that something wasn’t right? Oh baby baby I shouldn’t have let you go” They both sang together. Amanda kept looking over at Josie, not believing she was singing the song. She had such a great voice. When they were done, Josie made a face.

“I sucked” Josie exclaimed.

“No girl, you can really sing!” Amanda replied. “You should go into the studio one day with the guys and-”

“Amanda, don’t even give her any ideas” Nick yelled, stopping Amanda from finishing her sentence.

“Why? She has a great voice” Amanda explained. Nick laughed.

“No” Nick replied. Amanda gave Josie a look. Josie made a face meanwhile, Nick had picked up a magazine. Amanda put her arm on Josie’s shoulder and turned her around.

“Girl, you should really try this, I’m not kidding, you have talent, Maybe you and I could get together and make a song, I need a job” Amanda exclaimed. “Just go over there and convince Nick”

“Huh?” Josie asked, then understanding what Amanda meant, she walked towards Nick. Josie took the magazine from Nick and straddled him .

“Please Nick?” Josie asked him.

“No Josie” Nick replied. “My last girlfriend had to choose between me and her career and I don’t want that happening, especially because in the end she choose her career”

“Nick, I’m not telling you I’ll even get a deal or anything, Just one song, Please! I’ll have something to do on tour then” Josie explained. She made a pouty face and stared at him.

“No” Nick replied. Josie leaned up and pressed her lips to his, pressing him down so he was laying down on the couch, She kissed him for awhile, then brought her lips off his.

“Please?” Josie whispered.

“You have no idea what you’re getting into Josie, this life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be” Nick mumbled

“Well, I’ll have you there with me every step of the way” Josie replied. Nick sighed.

“You aren’t going to stop bugging me until I let you record a demo are you?” Nick asked. Josie smiled.

“Do I look like girl who gives up so easy?” Josie asked. Nick looked at her, not wanting to forget what she looked like, he knew that by the time she would have a record out, if she got that far, she’d be a different person.

“No, I guess you don’t, OK, we go into the studio next week, you can record a song, but first you have to write a song” Nick replied.

“LET’S GO” Kevin yelled. Josie grabbed her shoes and put them on quick, running from their hotel room. It was noon and Britney was getting Married at 12:30. Josie ran downstairs to the car and jumped in next to AJ.

“You look sexy Josie” AJ exclaimed. Josie looked over at him in black pants and a tight black shirt with a white hat on. The hat looked like something you’d wear in winter. Josie smirked, only AJ could pull off looking good in an outfit like that.

“You too AJ” Josie replied. She adjusted her tight black dress and leaned back. ‘Total Ecilpse of the heart’ was playing on the radio as they drove to the church. AJ and Josie sang along to the song. Everyone else in the car gave them looks, they all looked jet-legged in Josie’s opinion. The car stopped at a church. It was so small, that Josie wasn’t surprised when they walked into the backyard of the church where chairs were set up. Josie sat in between Kevin and Nick.

“Was your wedding this big?” Josie asked Kevin.

“No, we had maybe 200 people at most” Kevin replied. Josie spotted the rest of Nsync standing in the back, getting ready to walk down the aisle.

“Do we have a present?” Nick questioned. Josie shrugged.

“I don’t think so” Josie replied. Nick yelled at Leighanne to give him her purse, which was more like a bag. Nick dug through it, looking for something.

“You’re going to give her something old?” Josie questioned. “I’d expect old stuff and toasters for my wedding, but with famous people, I’d expect them to give cars and houses”

“Actually, the richer people are, the cheaper they are” Nick replied. He pulled out Leighanne’s checkbook and sighed.

“How much should we give?” Kevin asked. Nick looked at Josie.

“500?” Josie asked. Nick shrugged.

“That sounds good” Nick replied. He handed it to Leighanne to sign and pulled a hundred dollar bill from his wallet. All the guys did the same and gave Leighanne 100 bucks each. She folded the check and put it in her purse. The music started as the flower girl walked down the aisle, followed by all the guys from Nsync with one of Britney’s friends. Britney and her dad walked past Josie.

“That’s a beautiful dress” Josie exclaimed. Nick’s cell phone rang and everyone in the church looked at him. Nick smiled and picked it up.

“Hello?” Nick questioned.

“Nick Carter?” A voice squealed.

“Yes, who’s this?” Nick questioned, really annoyed.

“I love you so much” The girl exclaimed. Nick clicked the phone off and put it back in his pants.

“Do we really have to talk to her?” Leighanne questioned.

“You promised you’d be nice” Josie exclaimed.

“Well yea, see, I don’t talk to her so I wouldn’t say anything to make her mad” Leighanne replied. Justin and Britney were standing on the sidewalk as people filed past, saying their remarks and leaving to go to the reception. They were next in line to talk to them.

“Hey Britney, Congratulations!” Leighanne exclaimed.

“I’m sure you mean that” Britney replied. Leighanne smiled.

“I do, I wanted to say sorry for all the stuff I’ve done to you” Leighanne exclaimed. Britney smirked.

“Thanks” Britney replied. “Even spiking my drink?”

“Hey, That was funny!” Leighanne replied. Nick gave Justin a hug.

“That was a nice wedding, I was expecting fans to yell when they asked if anyone had reasons these two should not be wed” Nick joked. Justin smiled.

“I know” Justin replied. He glanced at Josie. “Hey there”

“Hi, I’m Josie, Nick’s girlfriend” Josie exclaimed.

“You looked familiar, I think I saw you at that MTV party” Justin replied.

“Probably! Congratulations! I love your guys music, very cool stuff” Josie exclaimed.

“Well, coming from Nick’s girl, That’s a huge compliment” Justin joked. Josie gave him a hug and then gave Britney a hug. The other guys walked past and Leighanne handed them a check and made their way to the parking lot.

“Why didn’t you ask for an autograph while you were at it?” Leighanne joked. Josie rolled her eyes and hopped into the front seat of their Grand Cherokee; next to Nick, who was driving.
