“If I told you I was going to miss you what would you say?” Nick questioned. Josie smirked.

“I would probably tell you to shove it” Josie replied. She looked around the airport. Every time a young girl walked by she looked away, not wanting to be noticed.

“You know, if you look away, like you are, you make it obvious” Nick exclaimed. Josie sighed. Nick stood in front of her with sunglasses and a hat on.

“You look like a murderer, take off the costume” Josie exclaimed. Nick took off his glasses.

“Not the hat, If we have to run around the airport 3 or 4 times you’ll miss your flight” Nick replied. Josie looked to the flight attendant and saw that they had 5 more minutes.

“So, you guys are coming on the 8th to my place?” Josie asked.

“Yep” Nick replied.

“The concert is on the 7th, How about you guys leave right after the concert and then you can stay at my dad’s house, He’s on a lake, It’ll be sweet” Josie exclaimed.

“I’ll try to convince the guys” Nick replied. Nick looked over to his right to see a girl giving him a look.

“Let’s make this quick, I think some fans are on to me” Nick joked. He leaned over and kissed her on the cheek.

“Don’t screw anyone while I’m away” Josie exclaimed as Nick walked away. Nick smiled and turned around.

“Bye Josie” Nick exclaimed. Josie smirked and walked towards the entrance of the plane.

Josie sighed and took her headphones off. They were playing ‘Wild, Wild West’ for the movie, and Josie was getting bored. It was her 2nd plane ride in her life and she wasn’t too happy to be alone. She was sitting next to a 12-year-old who had explained to her almost everything in her life, including her favorite band: The Backstreet Boys.

“Mommy, Look” The little girl explained. The little girl had hooked up her mom’s laptop and was surfing the web for Backstreet Boys things. Josie leaned over and watched as Nick’s Face popped up on a webpage.

“Who’s that one?” Josie asked.

“That’s Nick Carter” The little girl replied. Josie leaned back and closed her eyes.

“Who’s that?” The mom questioned.

“That’s Nick’s new girlfriend” The little girl replied. Josie opened her eyes and looked down, seeing her face on the screen.

“Great” Josie muttered. The little girls’ mom looked up, then back down.

“Excuse me, Are you Josie Martin?” The mom asked. Josie gave her a smile.

“No” She replied. A stewardess came up to her.

“Miss Martin, you asked for this” The stewardess exclaimed. The stewardess handed her a tiny bottle of vodka.

“Thanks” Josie replied. The mom looked over at her.

“So, you are Nick Carter’s girlfriend?” The Mom asked.

“Listen, I only met him 3 days ago, we aren’t very serious, so if you could leave me alone that would be great” Josie snapped. She opened her vodka and took a sip. The mom shook her head.

“Drunk” The mom muttered.

“How was the flight? How was Nick in the sack?” Melissa questioned. They were in the car, driving home from the airport.

“Don’t start with me” Josie exclaimed.

“What happened?” Melissa asked.

“OK, out of everyone in the whole plane I sit next to obsessive Backstreet fan and her weird mom” Josie exclaimed.

“Well, so, How did they know you?” Melissa asked.

“She had a laptop, I ordered ONE vodka and the mom called me a drunk” Josie complained.

“Hey don’t worry, On the little girls Backstreet site she’ll change it to 8 vodkas” Melissa joked. She pulled up to her dad’s house.

“Yeah, with my luck she will” Josie replied.

“Can I hang with you for awhile?” Melissa questioned.

“Yeah” Josie replied. Melissa grabbed a suitcase and Josie grabbed a bag from Macy’s filled with stuff.

“So-What did you get me?” Melissa asked once they were inside her room. Josie pulled out a pair of pink versace pants.

“OMG” Melissa yelled, taking the pants. “So you said the guys are coming here on the 7th, then they go on tour right?”

“Yeah, except I’m going with them” Josie replied.

“Josie Martin? Going on a tour with a guy she met 3 days ago? Nope, don’t believe it” Melissa joked. Josie grabbed a pillow and hit her friend.

“Well, believe it” Josie replied. She heard some noise coming from the hall and opened the door.

“Dad!” Josie exclaimed. She hugged him tight. “What’s up?”

“Josie, I need to tell you something” Her dad exclaimed. Her dad walked into her room, with Melissa still standing there.

“When you left me that message that you were going to a BSB concert with one of the guys, I was a little stunned because I went to their web page, which guy likes you?” Her dad asked.

“The blonde” Josie replied.

“This one” Melissa exclaimed, taking a picture frame from Josie's bag.

“What’s that?” Josie asked. She took it from Melissa. It was a picture of Leigh, Brian, AJ, Amanda, Nick and herself at the deli in NYC. Her dad looked over at it.

“Anyway, then you called to tell me you would be going on tour with them, now I know you’re 21, but I don’t think you should go” Her dad exclaimed.

“What?? Why?” Josie asked.

“I’m 46 years old, when I met your mom I was an apprentice to a big movie film director, I met your mom and I loved her at first sight, well, she came down to Hollywood with me, she quit school so we had enough money, we got married and she was always sad she never went to college, I ruined her life” Her dad explained.

“Dad, you didn’t ruin her life, Mom already told me that story, she said it was one of the best things she ever did” Josie replied. Her dad stared at her.

“I don’t want my little girl getting hurt” Her dad exclaimed. “Famous people sometimes believe they’re better than everyone else”

“Well, these guys don’t” Josie replied. She walked to her dresser and put the picture on it.

“That wasn’t what I wanted to tell you anyway” Her dad exclaimed. He took a deep breath. “I don’t need a maid or anything, I found someone Josie”

“What?” Josie asked.

“Her name is Becky, she’s 45, she’s a lawyer from Florida that moved up here, I love her so much” Her dad exclaimed. Josie sat still.

“More than mom?” Josie questioned. “We’ve been through this already Dad, you got married once after mom and that didn’t work out, why again?”

“Do you not want me to be happy while your traveling the world with your friends?” Her dad asked.

“Of course I do” Josie replied. Her dad smiled.

“Then you’ll understand this, I loved your mom, I always will, but I love Becky too, In fact, I asked her to marry me” Her dad exclaimed. “Becky is coming over the same day that your friends are, so I’ll meet your boyfriend and you’ll meet my fiancee”

“So quick? You must’ve only met her 3 days ago” Josie exclaimed.

“Actually we’ve been dating for about 6 months, I didn’t ever think it was the right time to tell you. If you don’t want me to marry her Josie, I won’t, but let me tell you, you won’t be going on tour with your friends, If I’m unhappy, you can be unhappy with me” Her dad explained.

“It’s been you and me for awhile now, were you always unhappy with just being with me?” Josie grumbled.

“Josie, As you said, we’ve been through this already, NO more on the subject” Her dad yelled. He stormed out of the room.

“Josie?” Melissa questioned.

“This is going to be fun” Josie muttered, going to unpack some stuff.
