Mister Yugoslavia Intercontinental and Mister Yugoslavia for Menhunt International

This year there was no official Mister Yugoslavia contest so winners from privious years were sent to different international competition.  Zoltan Kozma was sent to Menhunt International and Best Model of the world while Stevan Tasic was sent to Mister Intercontinental.

Winner of this years Miss Bosnia who will go on to compeate in Miss World pageant is Ana Mirjana Racanovic who was also Miss Serbian Republic (Part of Bosnian Federation).  Her first runner up was Branka Cvijanovic who was her second runner up at Miss Serbian Republic and she will also go on to compeate in Miss Europe 2001.  Second runner up was Mirela Mevkic while Marijana Kvasina took the title of Miss conginiality, Suzana Marjanovic was Miss photogenic and Elza Sahinovic was Miss Media.

Iva AT Miss International

Iva looked wonderful at Miss Internationa but unfortunetly she was not able to place in top 15 on this contest.  Iva had wonderfull year as Miss Yugoslavia compeating at Miss World and getting most bets on Global Beauties which could give her title of Miss Interneta and then after that at Miss International she looked stunning.  Thank you Iva for wonderfull year as Miss Yugoslavia.  In just couple weeks we will have are new Miss Yugoslavia.

Miss Beograd for Miss Yu 2001-2002

On Wednesday 5 September Miss Beograd was chosen out of 15 girls that competed.  Winner of this competition will get to go on to the final night of Miss Yu competition. Second runner up was Nikolina Tomasevic and the First runner up was Jelena Tomasevic and the girl that will represent the capital of Yugoslavia in this years Miss Yu competition is Nevena Dordjevic. The day after this competition Miss Yu organization had a party at Beograd's club "Stupica" where they publicized the list of 30candidates that will compete at this years Miss Yu.

 Miss Vojvodina Yu 2001

In this years Miss Vojvodina winner was Sladjana Kukolj who has been compeating in international pageats ever since she was sixteen.  By winning this competition she got an oppertunity to compeate at final competition of Miss Yugoslavia 2001.

Miss Backa Yu 2001

New Miss Backa Yu 2001 is Tijana Stajsic with this win she assured place in final of Miss Yugoslavia competition 2001.

Miss International Yugoslavia 2001

After many years of absence at Miss International contest Yugoslavia is back and what is the best way to come back then with the best you have and that is why Yugoslavia's representative at Miss International 2001 is going to be actual Miss Yu 2000 Iva Milivojevic.

Miss Serbian republic 2001 ana mirjana racanovic

Couple days ago, Banja Luka capital of Serbian part of Bosnia and Hercegovina was a site to the Miss Serbian Republic contest.  Winner of this contest is  Ana Mirjana Racanovic, first runner up was bojana Bojanic while second runner up was Branka Cvijanovic.  Title of Miss Photogenic went to Daliborka  Bubic and Sanja Markvovic was Miss Conginiality.  All these girls and 11 more will go on to the semifinal competition for Miss BiH on September 27 and final night of Miss Bosnia will be on September 29 when new girl will become Bosnian representative for Miss World.  All 16 girls from Serbian Republic are going to one of the beautiful beaches of Greece to prepare for the contest.

Ana's impressions from Miss Universe

There was a long article in one of the Serbian magazines but I will try to shorten it for you guys. First off all all the press was not supposed to ask any questions about politics and if they did girls didn't have to answer. First girl that Ana meat was Miss Finland and that was during her flight to Puerto Rico, Ana said that right from the start she knew that Miss Finland was a model or something like that because she looked gorgeous but she was too quite and her English wasn't that good so they didn't talk that much. Hotel that the girls were in was really good according to Ana and people of Puerto Rico are just so wonderful. She thought that girls in Puerto Rico are pretty but not as pretty as in Yugoslavia but they spend more time on their look at the salons and things like that. All the girls that had boyfriends could only see them once a day for like 2 minutes and there was no kissing allowed. The girls that she was most with were Miss Poland (her roommate) Miss Croatia, Miss Slovenia. Many girls called her baby because she was the youngest girl in competition. Also many girls didn't like Venezuela and USA because they were stuck-up. Ana's favorites except Puerto Rico where Miss Portugal and Miss Spain. She also added that Miss Spain didn't speak English at all. There was allot of girls that had plastic surgeries like Puerto Rico, Brazil, Dominican Republic and Venezuela are only some of them. Ricky Martin was exceptional and she said he was prettier in person but little too short. All the girls were pretty at the final night but the most disappointed were Miss India, Egypt and Cyprus. Many well prepared girls were really nervous like Miss Venezuela she even got some small kind of rash. In whole she said she had a good time and it wasn't easy for her also not making top ten when some girls didn't deserve to be there like Miss France. And on the end there was a little hetrage between Miss USA and Russia who always gave each other weird glances and also Miss Russia didn't speak English in preliminaries even thought she is fluent because of some unknown reasons.

Tijana Makes top TEn at this years Miss world pageant

Our representative in Miss World Pageant made it to the top ten.  Tijana was wonderful all night long but some nurves prevailed when it came up to interview section where she was not able to answer the questions that was asked by the host Jerry Springer.  After the pageant Tijana said that she had wonderfull time in South Africa and that all the ladies were very beutiful.  If she had to pick one to be a winner she said she would pick Miss Brazil.  She was good friends with Miss Nigeria who won this years contest and other girls from EX-Yugoslav Republics.  So Yugoslavia has gotten in final of Miss World competition after some tweenty years. Congratulations Tijana.

Elite Model look International

Emina Cunmuljaj placed in top 15 at Elite Model Look International finals in Nice, France.  She is expected to start working in one of Elites offices. Dusanka Stanojevic did well but was not able to place in top fifteen.

Miss Yugoslavia 2001

 Miss Yugoslavia was held in Sava center on October tenth.  Results are as fallows Miss Internet Ogjenka Djurickovic, Miss Photogenic Dragana Hinic, Miss World University Nina Stanisic, Miss Intercontinental Sladjana Kukolj, Miss Interational and Best Model of the World Aleksandra Kokotovic, Second Runner up and Miss Europe Nevena Djordjevic, First runner up and Miss Universe Sladjana Bozovic and Miss Yugoslavia 2001 for Miss World is Tijana Stajsic.  You can see more about this contest on our contest page.

Miss Zrenjanin Yu 2001

Zeljka Milic was winner of Miss Zrenjanin which secure her a spot  in final night of Miss Yugoslavia.

Miss Novi Sad

Second biggest city in Yugoslavia choose there representative for Miss Yu 2001-2002.  At the end of spectacular evening Tijana Kontic took the title of the most photogenic.  Miss congeniality was Jasmina Miric, while second runner up title went to Bojana Ivanovic. First runner up was Jelena Mrkic and the title of Miss Novi Sad 2001 went to Stana Lazentic who was Miss Teen Yugoslavia for 1999.  She will have a chance to compete for title of Miss Yu on October eight as well as the other top three girls in this contest.
