This page is dedicated to my friends who were in a car accident on July 18, 2001
On July 18, 2001, Andrew Lee Olson and Jason Roemer (Jellybean) had been broadsided by an 18-wheeler. Both are still alive and in stabile condition. Drew had been driving and Jason was in the passenger seat. I have been told by the step-mother of Drew that I have no right to visit anyone at the hospital because "She said so." I believe that I have just as much right to visit him and be at the hospital as she does. Drew lives with me so, I am part of his immediate family.
All everyone had ever heard from Drew was how much his family doesn't care about him, except for his father in some ways. I, as well as others, believe that Drew will not like to see the person that he hates the most when he wakes up from being sedated. I have tried to bring this up to any nurses and secretaries that could possibly get the word around to the doctors.
I have only been up there twice so far, but I pray for him to get back home. I also pray for Jason to be able to breathe better after lung surgeries.
The injuries are as follows:
Andrew Lee Olson:
-Swelling And Bruising of the Brain
-Fractured Pelvic Bone
-Broken Ribs
-Internal Bleeding (stopped)
-Broken Jaw
-Facial Lacerations
-Possible Broken Wrist
-Possible Broken Ankle
Jason Roemer:
-Collapsed Lung (75% - 80% intact)
-Bleeding Lung (repaired)
-Swelling And Bruising of the Brain
-Broken Jaw
-Facial Lacerations
I haven't seen the truck yet but, when I do, I hope I can take pictures of it for the boys. I will also post them on this page for people to see.
I also hope to get ahold of a copy of the police report. Another Jason (Tiny) and I have came to a conclusion that something might be just a little fishy because everything makes absalutely no sense.

Both boys are still here with us. Their parents are a little more settled. Here are the updates:
Drew Olson:
-Got Tracheomotry For Jaw and Facial Repair
-Biological mother went in and yelled at nurse and made brainwaves go crazy
Jason Roemer:
-Got Tracheomotry For Jaw and Facial Repair Set For 9AM Saturday July 28, 2001
-Responding to family
-Lost twelve teeth during accident
Well for now that is all. I, and other pray that Drew is going to be fine. It looks as if Jason is going to be out of Intensive Care in about 2 weeks. But if you now Jayson Olson, we need to make sure that he has the comfort that he needs. Please PRAY that they are both going to be fine and return home.

OK. This is all of what I heard from Tiny. I will have to verify this with Jayson. They are both doing alot better. Here is what happened:
Drew Olson:
-Had eyes opened all day on Wednesday July 25, 2001
-Responsive
Jason Roemer:
-Had been sitting in chair for about 3 hours
Well that is all that I know for now. I'll try to find more out tomorrow.
