Good Shepherd History
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church was dedicated on
November 1, 1964. A group of families on the south
side of Kenosha had a vision to place a congregation
near the Wisconsin/Illinois border to serve families
in extreme southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
Good Shepherd Preschool and Grade School
In September 1983, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
opened up a preschool. The congregation always had a
vision of providing Excellent Academic and Christian Education for its members and for the community. We offer morning and afternoon (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) 4-year-old classes and morning and afternoon(Tuesday and Thursday) 3-year-old classes.
In 2004, The congregation added on to our educational wing. In the fall of 2004 a grade school was opened. As our school grows we will offer classes to students ranging from 3-year old through 8th grade. Come, join us in the excellence of education we offer as we invite the next generation to know Jesus.

Good Shepherd’s Mission Congregation
In 1990, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church was asked to mother a mission congregation in the central Kenosha area.
A Vicar was called to help in the mission effort and in 1991 Lamb of God was born.
We are pleased that the Lord has been so kind as to increase the Gospel message in the Kenosha area.
