The Prettiest Thing in the World

Three little boys were a-talking one day,
So I peeped through the window to hear them say:

"The prettiest thing that I ever have seen,
Is a canary bird high up amongst the green."

But the second said: "The best I saw,
Was a circus pony munching straw."

Said the third: "I have never seen more grace
Than the smile on my mother's gentle face."
