Three Little Pigs

Shared by Mary, The Game Lady

Because of the "secret" young players cannot bump the board and mess it up....so they LOVE it.

To Make:

I used 3/4" red circle stickers to make the game path. I added the apple as a HOME space and covered the gameboard with clear Contact paper.

SECRET: Then I applied the velcro pieces...just a small piece is necessary. The matching part of the velcro is on the back of the pig playing pieces and thus holds them securely in place even if the board is bumped or dropped on the floor.

The cute little pigs were cut out of the a book, glued to an index card, covered with clear Contact paper, cut apart and the velcro added to the back.

The PLAYING CARDS for this can be ANYTHING. This is what is so nice about a GENERIC gameboard. Put any skill that needs drill on some cards and PRESTO you have another game to play..

To Play:

Each player selects a pig. In turn, the player draws a card from the shuffled pile of playing cards. He draws a card from the shuffled deck, answers the skill information and moves. (His move can be determined by shaking a die, using a spinner, or indicated on the skill cards.)

COOPERATIVE PLAY: I love games that do not include competition. So when we would play this game we played like the Three Little Pigs who had to escape the wolf. They needed to work together and so do we. When a player successfully gets his pig to the apple, he continues taking his turns as before. However, he helps out the others, by moving whichever pig is still the furthest from the finish.
