Hot Spots Boys especially love this fun cooperative-play game.
Players work together, as an army unit would, to capture and take control of each of the "hot spots".
TO MAKE GAMEBOARD:
I taped two brown filefolders together for this larger sized board. The path and red "hot spot" spaces were simply torn from pieces of paper and glued to the game board. I added the army stickers from an old book we had.
TO PLAY: (This game works well for any number of players.)
To begin, place four game pieces on any of the green spaces on the board. In turn, a player is asked a skill card question. If he responds with the correct answer, he tosses two dice and moves any game piece that number of spaces. If a game pieces lands directly on a "hot spot," a flag marker is left there to indicate that it has been conquered. When all "hot spots" have been concquered, the game has been won. Can the players work together and win the game before all the skill cards have been used?
