Although it has gotten its definitive consecration
during II the Great War, through the world-wide famous Jeep, the name Willys
Overland, already age of badge of one of the most famous carriages of passengers
in the distant year of 1902.
Since this date, when its first model was
produced, with motor monocylinder, the Willys (primitively Motor Overland
Car Company) was remained enters the biggest automobile industries (it
arrived to be the greater of them in 1911), having manufactured carriages
that had marked time in the history of motoring, as its Willys Six 1909,
of which had been sold to nothing less than 4 a thousand units in one alone
year.

of the Willys as the Willys-Knight and known models 37, 38 and 77 of the

Brazilian Jeep ", with traction in the 4 wheels, the pioneering Jeep testified
the reality of the young national automobile industria. In 1959 it came

The Willys manufactured its vehicles in its
propria unit in São Bernardo do Campo SP (current plant of the Ford);
in 1966 the Jeep (nicknamed in the Northeast " Leather Hat ") also passed
to be manufactured (assembled) in Jaboatão, Pernambuco, Br, where
it was the first plant of automobiles northeast, the Willys-Northeast,
that also manufactured Rural and Pick-up Jeep. In
1967 the Willys counted on 7 carriages of stroll and service in 19 versions,

- destined to

1300 would serve of base for the last great design of the Willys in Brazil
the Corcel (" Design M " of the Willys - Renault Mechanics, the first models

for the Ford-Willys as FORD CORCEL in 68. In 1970 it leaves to call Ford-Willys
and passing the Ford simply Brazil. To the few the Ford was substituting
the Willys vehicles, thus dying the mark in Brazil. The Willys also produced

The bases of these products were the engines of 6 cylinders of the Aero
