If you live or work in Marinette, Menominee, or Oconto counties, you share in a rich tradition of caring.

Every day residents here help one another - from the delivery of meals to the elderly and disabled to helping raise each other's children.

Did you know that over sixty-five programs supported by United Way help more than 20,000 children and adults each year? Your gift supports people in need, such as victims of domestic violence, crisis, and natural disasters, as well as helps families provide for everyday needs, such as child care. It helps build good memories for youth as they participate in local clubs and programs. Perhaps the United Way, through a generous donation you made, helped your neighbor, co-worker, or family member.

United Way was founded to provide a simple and efficient way to contribute to charities. Through just one gift, you can touch the lives of thousands in a variety of ways. United Way ensures the accountability of your gift through the Citizens Review Process. Each year over fifty experienced volunteers, who are donors themselves, spend hundreds of hours visiting agencies and seeing firsthand how people and programs are working to improve lives. Through these visits and a thorough review of agency budgets, they make decisions about the best use of United Way dollars. Your support of the United Way builds a caring community.

Here at home as well as across the country, health and human services budgets are being squeezed while demand increases. To provide adequate assistance to those in need throughout our community, the United Way needs your support. Your donation counts, along with your volunteer time and effort. Let your heart help you decide which agency or cause might be right for you. The United Way's Volunteer Action Center will be happy to help you consider the choices available.
