THIS WEEK'S ARCHWAY OF VERSE:

     Pools

Dipped in the tranquil mental waters
even when immersed amid the tears,
ever holding the umbrella of clam
against the leaden steel skies.

The heart finds its lucid bath of stillness
where peace washes the insides
from finally wading the pool of forgiveness
that cascades from love’s waterfall.

Found when at last swimming
against the current of curses
and standing where it cleanses
both sobs and scars in soft soothing flows.

William Robbins.
