This a 1968 Dodge Dart, I bought from some guys grandma. It was a 6 cylinder car with a small open rear end.I took out the whimpy rearend and put in a beefy 8 3/4 with 488 gears I also switched the k-member to accept a small block 340cid v8 and then put in a fully manual, reverse shift pattern, 3700 rpm stall, 727 trans. It was like driving a stick with no clutch. Got the 340 out of a parts car. The motor was a weird combo, mild compression with a monster cam ( 620 inch lift ) and crummy heads. But it ran strong. I ran 8.5 inch  slicks on the street . I had the white letter turned to the inside and mounted on street rims with a beauty ring covering the screws used to prevent the rims from spinning. Broke a drive shaft, so I replaced it with a custom shaft. A real sleeper if the car wasn't running. Best ET was 13.30 @ 112mph.
