For Sale: Paske 2219-B 3.pr 1987 brown dun mare. (Per C-7 x Manda 2065-A) 14-3 hands high and NFHR Registered. Very high quality brood mare that rides and drives. Paske throws very nice foals and is an excellent mother. She has had two foals for us, one of which is Mariposa's Bragi - Evaluated Blue in conformation. The other is a yearling and is also outstanding in regards to her conformation as well. Both have the temperaments one is looking for in the Fjord. Paske was evaluated in conformation as a 14 year old and received a high red. She has been shown in halter and driven at the Minnesota Horse Expo. Paske would be a great addition to a breeding program or for a pleasure horse. Very healthy and current with shots and worming. She was bred to Gromar's Rodrik this spring. $5000
For Sale: Raintree's Katya 1993 14'2 hh Brown Dun Mare. (Rusten C-61 2.pr, G4 X Line N-13475 C-108 2.pr). Katya is a very nice mare who rides Western and English and trail. She has been shown in the past both in open shows and Fjord shows. She has had four foals and all have been exceptional. Her foals have been consistently the most friendly and easy going. Her lines are great and will make an excellent choice for a brood mare or family horse. Katya was evaluated as a 10 year old and received a high red in conformation. Very healthy with an even temperament, current with shots and worming.
Leidjo C-370 x Anvil's Stina C-275 (Rudaren x Stella II). Rethel (Ret) is a very highly trained Fjord that does it all. English, Western, Jumping, Driving (single, team, four up), showmanship, etc. Ret was owned and trained by Kerry Unrau and has been shown extensively both in Fjord shows as well as Open shows. Kerry also worked him on a 600 head cattle operation in B.C. right before we purchased him. We have been using him in our lesson program. We will be keeping either Bragi or Ret in our program (whichever one doesn't sell first we don't need two at this time). Ret is also an awesome trail horse and I have put many miles on him over the last year. He side passes around trail obstacles how fun is that? He won the Junior Trail Class at Blue Earth (2004) out of 16 horses. If you want one of the highest trained horses around Ret's the one. $15,000
Valea's Lee x Marit (Hansen x Flikke). Berit is an outstanding opportunity to add some quality to your breeding program. Lee and Marit have produced some of the finest horses here in the Midwest. Berit has a lot of show experience and placed 1st in the 2004 Blue Earth 2 year old mare class and also took reserve grand champion that same year. She has been evaluated as a three year old and received a high red ribbon (79). I am sure that if she were evaluated again she would receive a blue as she matures. We plan on bringing her back to be re-evaluated if she is still here on the farm. Will be started under saddle this winter. Not many mares of this quality for sale! $6,000
Valea's Lee x Paske (Per x Manda). This is the same cross that produced Bragi. Here is a chance to purchase what could be one of the last Lee babies, as Lee didn't breed last year. Drika is definitely a full sister to Bragi. She has the same temperament and structure as her older sibling thus her potential will be very high. If you are starting a breeding program or want to add to one this is the filly. Very outgoing and friendly, not spooky at all. Very pretty head and great conformation. Good for the farrier. She is current on shots and is on daily wormer now. Pictures upon request. $4,000
Mariposa’s Derby – 2005 brown dun filly. Valea's Lee x Raintree's Katya (Rusten x Line). Derby has an excellent pedigree with an outgoing personality and lots of confidence. She is put together very nicely with a gorgeous head and nice straight legs. Katya's babies are so sweet that the same person purchased her first two. This cross is a nice match and produces the temperament we are all looking for. She’s been started in the round pen and shows an excellent willingness to learn. Derby is half-sister to Mariposa’s Bragi, who won Junior High Point and Grand Champion English Pleasure at the NFHR 25th Anniversary show in Winona, MN. $3,500 or B.O. Sold 01/18/07
Valea's Lee x Marit (Hansen x Flikke). Seierrik is offspring of possibly Rokida's best match. His sire and dam have produced some of the finest horses here in the Midwest. 3 stallions (Haakon, Markus and Asbjorn) are from this pair and Marit has produced 1 other stallion (Jacob). Seierrik would have made another fine stallion as well. He�s a big boy with excellent conformation. Very high quality gelding. Clips, leads, loads, good for farrier. $3,000
Gromar's Rodrik x Fair Acres Alida (Fair Acres Jorgen x Anvil's Etta). Good for farrier, nice Fjord gelding. Carsen moves very nice and is athletic.
