streetfighters and cafe racers from Mid-Ohio

Triumph streetfighter. I love this one. This is an American style streetfighter for sure. Those rectangular lights below the fairing are the headlights. As much as I dig the garbage bag stuffed behind the headlight-hole, I'd love to take some fiberglass to that fairing.

That tail looks way too cool with those exhaust cans.

This thing rocks. Someone wrote "GSXR 1100" on the gas tank with a marker. That's duct tape holding-on the headlight, mirror, taillight, and I'm scared to know what all else. Some guys use hacksaws to modify their bikes, some use pavement and ditches.

The guy that owned this said it was built in the 70's. This thing is seriously trick. That's the headlight mounted on the side of the fork there.

Gotta dig this, it must've been a racer at some point.

Ok, check this out. The guy was obviously trying to make this look like a "Norvint" (Vincent motor in Norton featherbed frame). It even had HRD footpegs and a vincent taillight and speedo. You've probably noticed that the motor is a Yamaha Virago 1100, and I don't know what the frame is. It's kind of lame, but you can appreciate the work that went into it, right? (You should.) Now imagine this without the retro back fender, without the Norton logo or Vincent touches, and with some dual discs up front. It'd be a pretty cool original cafe Virago. "So why would anyone want that", you ask? Well a Virago 1100 motor is basically a 90 degree (perfect primary balance) V-twin made from two SR500s (the legendary and cool Yam single). Unfortunately Yamaha put the motor in an ugly cruiser bike.
