It was a cool evening on the shore of Lake Michigan, on August 22nd, in Sheboygan, WI. The Gufs took the stage at 5:00 PM to an enthusiastic, yet small crowd compared to Summerfest shows. But within moments, people poured in to join in on the excitment within the big white tent. The show was wonderful, the guys sounded great as usual. There were a few technical problems, microphones, and Goran's guitar, but I don't think anyone really minded. The largest technical error was before "Happily Ever After", with Goran's accoustic. But, after some readjusting and a few fun comments from Goran, everything was a go! Third times a charm right? The set list (shown below) was nothing out of the ordinary. Although, they did mix "Come Together" into the first half of the show, instead of the final production. Smile again amazed me, the crowd seemed small from where I was standing until that song. The amount of voices singing the the band during the accoustic refrain was incredible. And the smiles on the faces of the guys after that, showed everyone how much the love their fans! After the show, the guys did a "meet and greet" autograph session, where they even stayed longer than expected to satisfy all the fans in line..and not finishing until everyone had an autograph and picture. Taking approx. 2 hours. The show in the entirity was great, if you were there, I hope you had a good time, if not don't worry Chicago's show at the metro will ROCK too!
