I find that country music has many parallels with great literature, on a less profound level of course. In books you always try to find the underlying theme, the moral behind the tale, which is never as obvious as you would think. In country music there is always a story but there is something left to the imagination. Like say some guy starts singing about how his wife ran off, you are never quite sure why she did it. and I just know there is some sort of moral behind that mystery.
