Undrugged

Tracks

This is a great bootleg with great quality sound. It is from the CD, "Undrugged". All songs are acoustic except "Champagne Supernova." I'm not 100% sure about these sources:

  • Live Forever - June 4, 1994 Royal Albert Hall - London, England. GREAT version. Noel changes "we see things they'll never see" to "you take two sugars in your tea."

  • Shakermaker - June 4, 1994 Royal Albert Hall - London, England. Noel sings it. At the end, he changes "shake along with me" to "and now we all drink Pepsi." This refers to the lawsuit Coca-Cola filed against them claiming the song was too similar to their advertising jingle "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing." If you listen, the similarity is more than striking, but Noel changed enough of it so as not to violate any copyrights.

  • Up In The Sky - Dec. 22, 1993 - 'Evening Session' Radio One, UK.

  • Supersonic - May 3, 1994 - Mark Lammar Show, Radio One, London, England, Liam sings on this one. The acoustic version sounds very different than the electric one.

  • Married With Children - Taken from the same session as "Supersonic" above.

  • Talk Tonight - April 14, 1994 - The White Room, White City Studios, London, England. There is somebody doing backing vocals for Noel on this song. I'm not sure, but I think it is Paul Weller, former Jam member, and good friend of Noel.

  • Sad Song - June 7, 1994 - 'Evening Session' Radio One, UK.

  • Supersonic - May 3, 1994 - Mark Lammar Show, Radio One, London, England.

  • Live Forever - This is the first time I've heard Liam sing the high part of the song. You know, "You and I are gonna live forever", the part that Noel usually sings. This is from the same session as "Sad Song" above.

  • Shakermaker - Liam sings this one. Same session as "Sad Song" above.

  • Wonderwall - June 23, 1995 - The Acoustic Stage, Glastonbury Festival, Somerset, England.

  • Don't Look Back In Anger - This was done for MTV News Europe during an interview on Sep. 28, 1995. This is just the very ending of the song. Instead of singing "at least not today", Noel changes it to "better than Blur any day."

  • Take Me Away - Dec. 18, 1994 - The Academy, Manchester, England.

  • D'Yer Wanna Be A Spaceman? - Same as "Take Me Away" above.

  • Whatever - Aug. 18, 1994 - MTV's Most Wanted, Camden Studios, London, England. Excellent version! Noel and Liam sing in harmony along with an organ. They add the Man City chant "All the young Blues carry the news" at the end, as they so often do for this song.

  • Live Forever - Liam singing along with an organ in the background. Same session as "Whatever" above.

  • Digsy's Dinner - Apr. 27, 1994 - The Morning Show, GLR, London, England.

  • You've Got To Hide Your Love Away - Rockfield Studios, Gwent, South Wales. Beatles cover done by Noel in May of 1995.

  • Wonderwall - Dec. 2, 1995 - KNDD Holiday Festival, Seattle Arena, Seattle, WA.

  • Champagne Supernova - The only electric track on this bootleg. From the same session as "Wonderwall" above.
