Universal Ampitheater - Los Angeles, CA

Setlist

This is a show off of their North American tour in support of Be Here Now. The tape is very good quality. There is some crowd noise, but it doesn't interfere with hearing the music. At the beginning of "Supersonic", as he did several times this tour, Noel adds a longer and very cool sounding introduction. Before starting his acoustic set, Noel expresses his dissaproval of some rowdy fans by telling the crowd "if one more thing comes up here, then I'm fucking going home. You got that?" Later in his set, he performs an EXCELLENT cover of the Beatles' "Help!". It is great! In the original version, Paul McCartney sings the song as if he is commanding somebody to help. Noel's version is much slower and he sings it as if he is desperately pleading for help. Double top! Noel's attitude seems to pick up a little later when he tells the crowd, "This is a song about shagging!", and then breaks into "Wonderwall". It is a very good overall show. The version of "Champagne Supernova" is very looong. Noel apparently comes back on for the encore of "Acquiesce" with a cigarette in hand because he announces to nobody in particular, "Fuck your smoking laws.." A good bootleg.
