Name: Personal Disintigration Field Generator
Type: Force Field Generator
Description: Based on prototypes used during the Clone Wars, the DFG produces a disintigration field which rips apart all objects within it's range on a molecular level (except the thing that it shields). The two models in production at the moment are for personal shielding and starship shielding. Both required great amounts of energy during the Clone Wars, and production was abandoned. Now, however, Thundercraft Automaton industries has improved the model. The personal DFG is a backpack mounted unit, with an effective radius of six feet from the wearer. It can run for two minutes before the power safety cuts off the micro-fusion generator. The safety can be disabled to provide a few extra seconds of power, but if the generator blows the wearer will almost certainly die in the explosion.
Name: Starship Disintigration Field Generator
Type: Force Field Generator
Description: The starship DFG is more reliable than the personal DFG. It requires its own plasmatic power core, which comes with the model when purchased. With the power core, the disruption field can run continuously for an hour before shorting out. The unit itself is about two metric tonnes, as is the plasmatic power core. The field's radius from the ship is about eight meters.
Notes: The starship and personal DFGs are produced in TAI's foundries on Geonosis. The personal shield generators are available to all Imperial Officers, and to factions allied with the Empire that have an Imperial purchase grant. The starship generators are available only to Imperials with sufficient clearance or allowance.
Cost: Personal DFG: 100,000 credits...Starship DFG: 500,000 credits (note: more than one DFG are needed to cover a ship larger than a Victory class Star Destroyer).

Description: For the most part, a DFM Launcher is like any other projectile launcher. The difference is primarily in the missiles being fired. Each DF Missile is essentially just an engine with a Disintigration Field. The DFGs on the missiles are armed when the missile leaves the launcher, and activate upon proximity (4 meters) to a solid object. Then the DFG activates with a radius of 5 meters, and the DFG will stay active for approximately 6 seconds, whereupon the micro-fusion generator in the missile will short out and erupt into a semi-nuclear explosion. The disintigration field will pass through standard shields, and will damage particle shields. The explosion will damage both types of shields. If the target is unshielded when hit with the disintigration field, the target will, naturally, be ripped apart molecule by molecule. Some metals show an extraordinary resistance to disintigration fields, such as coascite, certain diamond types, and molecularly bonded metals. However, those metals are not immune to nuclear explosions.
Notes: The missile launcher itself isn't particularly special, except that it can arm the missiles. It holds twenty missiles. Each missile is about a meter long and half a meter wide. Sale of the DF-M Launcher is prohibited to those not alligned with the Empire, and an Imperial purchase grant is required for anyone to obtain one.

Name: Personal Disintigration Field/Field Disruptor Generator
Type: Personal Shielding Device

Description: This technology combines personal disintigration field generators with individual field disruptors into an elite personal shielding/infiltration device.
The field disruptors, two slightly modified Evasive-226s, allow the wearer to pass through energy screens and fences so long as they are capable of compensating for the energy fence's power rating. To aid them in this purpose, the disruptor is modified to take in power from an external source rather than an enclosed power cell. The disruptors will be powered by a miniaturized fusion generator, worn on the user's back.
The same fusion generator, through a seperate feed line, powers a personal disintigration field on the wearer's chest, which effectively shreds whatever it contacts on a molecular level.
The system uses a double-bubble design, where the field disruptors' disruption bubble is slightly outside of the disintigration field, so that the disruptors will not interfere with the disintigration field. Because of this design, however, the disruptors must be activated before the disintigration field, or the field will be negated.
The fusion generator can power both the disintigration field and the disruptors at the same time for approximately two minutes. Alternatively, the disruptors alone can be powered for nearly forty minutes at maximum output. The disintigration field can be powered for three minutes without the disruptors in use. After said time limits, the fusion generator has a safety cut-off that shuts it down before the generator can blow. The safety can be deactivated for a few extra seconds of operating time, or to suicide-bomb an area with flaming radioactive debris.
The disruption bubble has an effective radius of 1 meter from the wearer, while the disintigration field has a radius of 0.8 meters.
Notes: This technology is available only to the Empire and friends of the Empire.
