My Poems

These are my original poems.
I don't consider myself a poet,
but more like a writer of feelings.
In light of that, I wish to thank my
Spirit Guides who have helped
me to sort through my feelings
& have shown me a productive way
to release them without violence.
Also, Thanks to my Great Creator,
without Him, I would not have been.

Marriage

A wedding ring,
perfectly round,
A symbol of,
a new life found.
Wedded love,
between two people,
Rings out loud,
like bells in a steeple.
Wedding vows,
rules not to be broken,
Before God & your peers,
of the love you have spoken.
Threw all the years,
'till death do you part',
Live by the rules,
& love in your heart.

Brave Heart

Brave heart of mine,
take me to the end of time.
Through all of life's trials & trouble,
Oh take me there, take me there,
on the double!
Upon this life's path of mine,
help me walk a straight line.
Let me be gentle on my feet,
let me breath the air so sweet.
Teach me to always be true,
and guide me when I'm blue.
My dear brave heart of mine,
stay with me till the end of time.

A Kitten's Spring

Poetry in motion,
playfulness in your heart,
lilacs wafts upon the breeze,
& you hear a medow lark.
Tulips pop their heads above,
& spring is in the air,
gone are winter's gloomy days,
the weather has now turned fair.
The clouds are puffy,
the sun begins to shine,
washing you in warmth,
& feeling just devine.
Yes, spring is here,
you hear your mothers' purr,
crawling on wobbley legs,
you curl up in her fur.

January's Snow

Softly floating,
not knowing where they'll land,
Dancing in circles,
to the tune of an unheard band.
Falling & falling,
ever so light,
Stacking up on each other,
all through the night.
Whirling & twirling,
looking so crisp & clean,
Blanketing the landscape,
& looking so pristine.
January's snow,
covering high & low,
As I sit in my chair,
& watch it from my window.

Teddybear And Pussycat

The Teddybear & Pussycat fell in love,
and Teddy gave her a rose.
He said " This flower is pretty like you."
Then kissed her on her nose.
Pussycat accepted his gift & said,
"Teddy you're so sweet!"
Who'd have guessed they'd fall in love,
that day they did meet?
So here they sit watching the sunset,
& always side by side.
They'll never tire of one & other,
because in their hearts, their tied.

One Lonely Teddy

One lonely teddy,
sitting on a shelf.
"What is the matter?"
asked the little elf.
"I have no one to love me.",
a tear trickled down,
on his sad little face,
all fuzzy & brown.
"Cheer up," said the elf.
"Someone will come along soon,
& before you know it,
your heart will fly up to the moon!"
While Teddy thought about that,
along came a little boy.
The little boy exclaimed,
"I want that teddy toy!!"
His mother picked Teddy up,
& gave him to the child.
The little boy hugged Teddy,
looked up to his mother & smiled.
As Teddy left the store he thought,
'Finally someone to love me!'
The little elf was right,
& Teddy's heart filled with glee!

The Color of Love

Make love to me
'neath the old oak tree
under the stars & moon.
Give me your love
let me ride it above
over vallies & mountaintops.
Let's fly up & away
over a warm ocean bay
to a land on a tropical island.
Like wings on a dove
gliding through the colors of love
Ah, what a paradise should be.

Rinky Tinky

Rinky tinky,
rinky too,
I am me,
and you are you!
Rinky tinky,
rinky tay,
come out, come ou,t
I want to play!
We'll swing on swings,
and ride the see saw,
then jump into leaves,
when it turns fall.
Rinky tinky,
rinky tap,
I think I"ll go home now,
'cause I need my nap.

UnKnown Native
My skin appears to be white
But I'm native in my heart.
There's an unknown ancestor
From which I can never part.

My family has shunned them
Kept the secret they wished to hide
. Generations have come and gone
But who was the one who lied?

I can feel it in my blood
Deep down in my soul
I need more information
In order to fill this hole.

Who am I, & where do I belong?
This I cannot say.
I wish my family would tell me,
Or at least show me the right way.

For now I'll just keep searching
Feeling lost and alone.
Not knowing which path to take,
The path that leads me home.
