Jefferson, Wisconsin's
Springtime Princesses!
.....We had a lot of fun on March 22, 2000, bringing flowers and a bit of sunshine to the lives of some very special folks at Alterra Assisted Living, Sterling House...
...as well as the wonderful waitstaff at the Riverfront Family Restaurrant all in Jefferson, WI
and
The Dodge County Senior Apartments
in
Hustisford, WI Miss Cynthia Ruth Powers... ...and Miss Brianna Rose Clark...
had a day of fun and frolic as the "official"
Springtime Princesses of Jefferson, WI. The fun began
the night before with preparations, including a pajama
party and hair-styling.
The next morning began bright and early, with a
delicious breakfast and then it was time to get ready!
The girl's carried handmade and decorated baskets, filled with bouquets of daffodils and tiger irises... By 11 a.m. all was ready and the group set off with
their mother's for their first stop!
They brought smiles to the faces of staff and residents alike with their
cheery faces and giving hands.
Even residents who don't normally respond very much to others found themselves
smiling at the little ambassadoresses of Spring.
After bringing flowery joy to the residents at Alterra,
the princesses headed out to their favorite local eatery,
The Riverfront Family Restaurant,
delivering bouquets of spring flowers to favorite waitresses Pat, Maria, Shirley and the others.
Even little "prince-in-waiting" Zachary got in on the fun this time!
After lunch, the girls embarked on a trip to Hustisford,
bringing more flowers to the Dodge County Senior Apartments
on South Lake Street, where Miss Clark's grandmother
is a tenant.
The girls were finally able to let their hair down and were treated to cookies and root beer by
Mrs. Schmidt, and the day ended with a lot of good memories for all!
