My name is Brian, and I'm a graduate student at UAB working towards a Ph.D. in Microbiology. I'm originally from Wisconsin, and I happen to be gay. Yes, I do miss being in a more liberal state, but the program here is great, and I think I'll be able to handle it for a few years.

I'm a very multi-faceted person, so this website covers a variety of topics and issues.
