Julia is the latest addition to the other faces family. Alex met her after she e-mailed about a previous other faces show. Alex listened to her music and was quite impressed. The two became friends, and within months were in a relationship. They began writing new songs, and it was decided that she would become the new bassist for other faces. She adds a jazzier sound to the band with intriguing basslines. In addition to bass, she is classically trained at piano, cello, and percussion. She is inspired by a wide range of artists, from Charlie Mingus and The Beatles, to Tortoise and Telefon Tel Aviv.
