![]() Rating out of five: 4 Sheridan just received professional help at basketball from Robert Horry of the Lakers, and so of course in one night she's a pro. She challenges Luis a game - but not without the stakes. She says if she wins, he has to allow the girls time to play basketball, but he says if he wins, she has to cook him whatever he wants. It's a deal, and so of course, Sheridan wins, much to Luis' disappointment. However, he keeps his word about the girls and basketball, and even gives Sheridan a trophy, complete with a plaque. Oh, how sweet…but the sweetness in Luis turned to hatred (once again) when he learned Miss Crane used her name to get help in order to learn the game of basketball. Oooh…not good. Timmy, dressed in his hospital scrubs is caught by the hospital staff who assume he belongs in the pediatrics ward. (My question is: does Timmy look human when he's "alive," or just like another Chucky? Because if he just looks like a "living doll" then these Harmony people are truly crazy!) Meanwhile Tabitha and Kay are elated when they discover Charity is afraid of Miguel. Jessica, or as Kay calls her, Brat face, informs Miguel not to worry. This may only be a temporary thing due to the amnesia. She insists Charity will remember Miguel soon. Determined she doesn't, Kay sweet talks her cousin into believing her and Kay are the best of friends….yeah - whatever…Tabitha of course, loves this teen witch. Later, the old hag finds her doll face tag-along locked away in the hospital's morgue after some of the orderly's find him "dead." This is why he mustn't go out in public, she warns. Grace and Eve talk about their dinner date at the Crane mansion. Grace is excited, but the doc would rather stay home. Good thing the dinner will be early, she informs Grace. Soon Grace and Eve are talking about their daughters as Eve says she's worried about Simone liking the "street kid" Chad. Grace replies that Simone is a good kid - just like Eve was when she was a little girl. Somehow, I think this is what worries Eve the most…because Simone isn't the good little kid her friend thinks she is. Charity begins to wake up as Grace decides to try and help her remember her past, as she goes to see her. The little girl believes she's looking at her mom. But Mrs. Bennett ends up telling her the truth - Faith is dead. She died in a fire in Castleton, the same fire Charity was in. They both shed some tears as they hug…but the more I think about it - couldn't Faith be alive? I mean, ever fire Grace's family seems to be in ends up with amnesia, so it would make sense that somehow Faith survived and is just living with amnesia…hmmm… Simone, becoming more and more like her best friend, devil worshipping Kay Bennett, tracks Chad down at the Youth Center where her Phy Ed class is. She practically proposes to him. He finally tells her his name is Chad Harris and he's from L.A. A lovesick Simone swoons, "Oh, I've always wanted to go to L.A." But a bitter Chad tells her it's not for her. She invites him to come over for dinner that night, knowing her parents will be out of town. Apparently, she forgot her mom told her she didn't want her to see that boy…Back at the hospital (which, by the way, I'm really getting tired of seeing) Kay is trying to get closer to Miguel and buys him what seems to be his tenth soda that day. She invited him to dinner at Simone's. He says he needs to be at the hospital in case Charity wakes up - and bites his head off again - but Kay tells him she'll have a nurse call the house if by some miracle she'll wake up. The dates are made, but this might just be a bad thing if Eve comes home early (which you just know she will…). Simone prepares the strawberries and chocolate in hopes of getting lucky that night - after all, they are the passion food. Moving on over to the Book Café, where we are reintroduced to the too-nice Beth Wallace (on a side note: nice characters on soaps usually equal unstable emotional bitches later on. Example: You've been waiting and waiting for your dream man to finally accept your proposal. And then - BAM! - in walks a Crane who, although she swears she hates him, and he swears he hates her, you just know they're going to get together…oh yeah! Beth…will…crack….) and who should walk in but Chad? He doesn't have enough money to get what he wants so the sweetie offers him twenty dollars to help out for a little while at her café. He goes around offering coffee when he runs into Whitney again. He catches her reading about the "white "folks game" - tennis. Ooh - that's not a good thing to tell that gal. Well, the two start to go at it, yet there's that certain Sheridan/Luis spark between the two. Chad's song plays on the radio as he informs her that he dubbed it. She just laughs and asks him to show her his name on the label. Sadly, he informs her, that's just it - his producer never gave him credit for anything, and that's how he ended up here in Harmony. Ivy is excited to learn Theresa is coming back to work for her - however all the talk about weddings between Ethan and Theresa causes Gwen to become a little, oh I don't know - JEALOUS!?! Pilar becomes more and more concerned for her daughter, knowing that you just don't get close to a Crane unless you want your heart broken. She's seen it all through the years. Meanwhile, Ethan and his mother have a talk about life in general - a talk that leads Ethan to provoke a thought about his father. Except, why is it that lead to Ivy thinking about her life spent with Sam…well, if I have to spell it out to you, Ethan isn't Julian's child - he's Sam's! Ivy ends up becoming emotional when Ethan teases his mother about not marrying the wealthy Gwen Hotchkiss. She cries out that she's sacrificed so much for him and he has to marry Gwen. He apologizes for making a scene and says he is going to propose to Gwen. Theresa freaks out of course, knowing she may not have the chance to make Ethan marry her. But then Ivy really does it - she wants Ethan to go to the opera while she entertains the Bennetts and the Russells later that night. He wants to stay home and watch some TV. Besides, who would he go with, he asks…Ivy points at the wide-eyed girl. Pilar insists this isn't a good idea and anyway, Theresa doesn't even have a proper dress, but Ivy, not letting anyone tell her what to do, declares it's simple - Theresa can borrow one of her yet-to-be-seen daughter's dress. Um, Ivy…you just don't get it do you? |
