Thanks to Dan Oetting for arranging the WSRY DX Test. I'm not going for a QSL as not enough made it to tape.
I followed the fun along, with the IRCA reflector and I listened from 0000 to 0100 on both the Grundig S-350 and "baby brother" Eton E-100. Well, I heard the DX test, but just barely. Man was it hard! The Ontario DX'ers and even George Sherman in MN seemingly had easier times with it. The pattern surely favored them more than I and I have two all nighters on roughly the same beam (right down I-70). I caught enough snippets of code ID but some of the progressive tones were the items that stood out. The tones were roughly heard at :11, :23 and :55. WMDH (New Castle, IN) and SS (WDLR-OH) put WSRY in a distant third spot. CBE-ON is very rare here, thankfully. I had never ID'ed WDLR so it's new also (now to ID the SS on 1480, which must be MI and my Far Eastern on 1040).

Got only a brief chance to DX this past weekend - and added two new to the ULR only logbook. I also missed some wild Midwestern tropo, too. A few Central Indiana DX'ers had UHF DTV stations over 600 miles. Impressive!
I'm inching (and only barely) toward 200 in the ULR book. I'm missing some obvious ones and even a few channels (970 and 1390 for instance) are completely missing but as I put some more time and effort into it, I'll get there.
What is up with KOTC 830, Kennett, MO? Weren't they picking up and moving to Memphis?

I heard classic rock on 830 and "My-830" non-ID's, late Saturday afternoon. This is KOTC. They are no longer SS, as stated in Wikipedia. Very nice classic rock songs! Monster signal but sub par modulation. Conversely KFUO on 850, also from MO was putting out a great signal AND sound. Both are relogs but new to the ULR book.

Put up new FM ant 10-25 so I have mainly stayed on that band. Have managed to hear 67 new ones! Was helped by a great tropo opening 11-12 out to 525 miles. Locals CIB1-91.7, CIBU-94.5, and CKNX-101.7 were off the air evening of 11-14 giving me 5 new ones. They are still not back on as I write this 11-15 although CKNX is on/off testing.
