1230 KSEY TX Seymour 3-24 0010 Wasn't giving this one much of a chance to get here, so you can imagine my surprise when sweep tones and Morse Code IDs showed up at this time -- and not only did they show up, they dominated everything else on 1230! Heard again from 0117-0121 with sweep tones, "phone-off-the-hook" tones and more code IDs. An e-mail was sent within minutes to Paul Walker, who confirmed it before the first hour was up. Probably the best DX test I've heard on a graveyard channel since KORN-1490 in late 1990.NEW! RD-NE

1550 CBEF ON Windsor 11-1 1815 G solid signals dominating the frequency with French talk and music. I checked the internet stream and it is them for sure. 1550 KRPI WA Ferndale 2-26 0305 Morse code "VVV de KRPI" heard reasonably well at :05 and at :10 and caught on tape. The music is absolutely wild/techno/Punjab I believe. KZDG with the wild music and 510 phone prefixes on some of their ads. The music is known as "Bollywood". Substantial Asian QRM is likely KZDG San Francisco. Also Spanish in the mix is likely KMRI West Valley City, Utah causing its fair share at only 340 watts. Anyway got the test quite easily. Relog. TK-MT
