Dawn Rose

Dawn Rose was born on Oct. 1st , 1998.
I remember that
day like it was
yesterday.
I was 18 years old,
right out of high school..
engaged to her father,
Nick Davis.
We were maddly in love..
and now were
going to have
a family.
I had Dawn at, 2:31 am
, after 16 hours
of hard labor.
Right away, the doctors
took my baby away from me.
Dawn was born with a
very bad heart.
She spend her
first few weeks in ICU.
Nick and I ,
were very worried.
Dawn was born 3 weeks premature.
She only weighed 3 lbs.
Dawn was like a weak doll.
We visited her daily.
Holding her tiny little
hand, praying for just
one more day.

Dawn was relesed
on Oct. 31st.
It was a mircle we
finally could take our
baby girl home.
We had a huge
welcome home party for her.
Grandma Davis and Grandma Smith feel in
love with her the mintue they
laid their eyes on her.
Dawn was beautiful.

Dawn was a very weak baby.

She had weekly
visits to the hospital.
Her tiny heart,
begaining to fail.
Yet she
was a fighter.

On Nov. 13th, 1998,
Nick and I got married.
I carried Dawn down the asile with me.
We dressed her all in white.
The service was so pretty.
It was the happiest
day of my life.
I had the dream family.
A prefect husband, and
the sweetest little girl.

Dawn was doing so good!
Her doctors were so surprized.
The appointments
went less and less.
Dawn was starting to
act more like a normal baby.

Just as we thought the nightmare was over..
On Nov. 24th, 1998.. our little girl died.
It was after noon.
Dawn was crying non-stop.
I could not figure out why.
She had no fever, and
had been fine, when
we took her to
the doctor the
day before.
I picked her up..and cuddled her
in my arms.
Sang sweet songs to
my little girl.
Dawn smiled up at me..
than she forever closed her eyes.
Just like that
my baby died in my arms.
Dawn died at 1:39 that day.
The day I will
never forget, as long as I live.

Dawn is now in heaven.
She has her wings.
There she recived a new heart.
All the pain went away.
My baby is living with
her Grandfather Davis,
and her aunt Mary Lou.
And here on earth, she is also living,
in our hearts forever.
