50 Cent Set To "Dance" With Nicolas Cage

50 Cent has signed on to star opposite Nicolas Cage in The Dance, a film based on the life of prison boxing coach Billy "The Kid" Roth. The Universal Pictures film will also be influenced by a The Dance - The Billy Roth Story, a 2003 documentary based on Roth that the Oscar award wining actor Cage executive produced. ... After retiring from prizefighting, Roth retired and volunteered to coach boxing in Louisiana state prisons for more than 40 years. According to Daily Variety, Cage will play Roth while 50 will portray a boxer who Roth believes has the talent to be a contender but is serving a life sentence. Violator Management honchos Chris Lighty and Mona Scott, who represent 50 Cent as well as Missy Elliot and Busta Rhymes, will co-produce the film with Cage. As SOHH previously reported, 50 Cent is currnetly filming the war drama Home Of The Brave where he will play a soldier struggling to readapt to everyday life following a long tour in Iraq.
