In Full Tilt, Janet Evanovich and Charlotte Hughes take us into the future twenty-one years. Max Holt has grown from a sixteen year old boy who blew up things to a very hansome, rich man. He has been divorced from his first wife, Bunny, of three years. We also meet Jamie Swift, our heroine, who is engaged to another man that happens to own The Beaumont Gazette. This book then takes us on a ride of a life time when Frankie Fontana, an ex-wrestler, takes his fight from the wrestling ring to the political ring by running for mayor of Beaumont South Carolina. (Where ever the heck THAT is) We meet vicious killers from upstate Deleware and an ex military man that goes by the name Swamp Dog. He's also a little bit off his rocker. Joining the cast are politicians who were embezzling money from the community to fill their pockets and telling the people it's going for a good cause. And last, but certainly not least, is Annabella Standish, who is the mother of Jamie Swift's fiancee. "whispers" We find out later that the culprit behind the towns money problem was her all along. Who says cleaning house doesn't pay? This book kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't put it down. Where it takes me a week to normally read one book, I had this book done in twenty-four hours. It was an awesome book and well written. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to go for a fast spin and laughs in the face of danger, especially with e-prisoners in possession of high power automatics, and a crazy old man who thinks he's still in Vietnam. Grab the book, read it and I guarantee you'll love it like I did.
