The Choice is Made - Part II

BY: Gigs

"Greater Love has no one than this, that they lay down their lives for their friends. John 15:13"

A vicious, frenzied roar shook the walls of the
house. Gigs was angry...she was past angry. She was
furious! She was quickly working into a rage that even Asher
would have a hard time controlling her through. He
held her one arm while Tamara held her back with the
other from the stone-faced, silent red-headed
vampire who stood before her. Blood, flesh, and fur dripped
from Gigs extended claws and Caleb lie on the floor
unconcious where she had thrown him in her anger.
 "You son-of-a-bitch! Filthy worm-ridden @&*$%* BASTARD!"
She bellowed, completely oblivious to Asher and
Tamara's attempts to calm her. "HOW DARE YOU STAND
THERE AND PROFESS TO LOVE HER WHEN YOU BETRAYED HER
SO VILELY. YOU TOOK AWAY HER CHOICE. YOU BETRAYED HER
TRUST. I'LL RIP YOUR GUTS OUT, YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!"

Asher was deeply concerned. If she worked herself
up any more, she would do something they would ALL
regret. He had to get through to her...and now, or the triplets
were in trouble. Dragging forth every ounce of strength he had, he
bared down on her body and captured her mind,
shaking her shoulders as he did so. "Giggles...if you kill
him, you will also kill Lyza. They have formed an
alliance somewhat similiar to ours, beloved. If you
continue this attack, you will hurt her." he
reasoned. She growled angrily and blew hot air in his face,
but he could tell he was getting through. Silently he
 breathed a sigh of relief.

Trust had always been an unbending issue with his
beloved...and she had seen this act of Damiens' and
Caleb's with Lyza, her friend, as betrayal of trust.
He had to smile at the strength and passion of her
convictions as well as her deep-seated loyalty to
her friends. It pleased him that she was so ferocious in
her loyalty and love, though sometimes...such as
 now...it could be a trial.

Tamara read Asher's mind and new the truth of it as
well. She too knew that so deep was Gigs love, that
she wasn't going to give in on this easily. "Gigs,
sweetie, I know that trust is a big issue for you,
but its different for Lyza. She won't see this as
betrayal. She'll see it as Damien being protective
of her despite herself. You have to try and understand.
You HAVE to accept her decision, hon." She knew that
Gigs had a bellyful of bile though and prepared
herself to take the brunt of it. Gigs had often
taken things out on her...not because she was personally
mad at her, but that Gigs knew she could stand up to it
and not take it personally. It helped to calm her
 friend's savage beast many times.

Gigs spat, "They betrayed her, Tamara. What's to
keep them from doing it again...and REALLY hurting her
next time. They took away her choice. Her freedom. How
can you NOT be angry about that?" A voice spoke up
softly, wearily from the bedroom door and Lyza
entered robed in black satin with a rose embroidered on the
lapel. "Yes, they took it Gigs dear. But even so, I
would have given it freely. What's done is done now,
and can't be undone. I can accept that. You should
to." Damien was quick to be at her side holding her
against him as she still appeared weak.

Gigs watched her silently for a few minutes as she
took comfort and strength from the red-headed
bastard. Then she went to sit on the floor beside the fallen
leopard, placing his head in her lap tenderly and
checking to see if his wounds were healing properly.
"I'll thank you not to harm my cat again as well,
Gigs." she scolded lightly. Gigs snorted grumpily
in reply, a fire still ablaze in her eyes. She stormed
towards the door and practically tore it from its
hinges to get out. Asher and Tamara glanced at the
three of them for a few moments in quiet
understanding before following their much disturbed third out into
 the night.

Lyza smiled after them. She knew Gigs meant well,
and that was just her way. She was still a young
lycanthrope and even though she'd improved her
control over her strength a great deal in the past few
months, her beast still often got the best of her when she
was upset. Lyza knew Gigs loved her and would give
her very life for her. It was deeply touching
actually. She chuckled a little to herself, hoping
the duck pond could stand another onslaught of Gigs
rage. Gigs had a lot of adrenaline built up now, so
the hunt tonight would be VERY interesting to say
 the
least.
