Merry and the remaining Ravens watched as the door shut behind
Frost. Pippin looked around the room. Everyone looked incredibly
grim. He knew that it would take at least twelve hours before Frost
would be back.

'These people need some distraction,' Pippin thought. 'What's
today... maybe there is something going on that we can go to. Let's
see... Yesterday was Sunday... No that's not right. Let's see...Oh,
yea! It's Tuesday! August 6th! The movie is out!!!'

"Princess Meredith?" Pippin asked. She had this faraway look on her
face. She turned towards him.

"Hmmm? What? Oh, sorry, Pippin. I guess I was daydreaming a
little." She smiled at him. "What did you need?"

"Well, I was thinking that it would be a while before Frost is back.
And that none of us would be sleeping tonight. So, is there a
Blockbuster nearby?"

Merry laughed. "Thank you, Pippin. That would be perfect.
Something to pass the time and keep us from worrying constantly."

Blockbuster was crowded. Of course, it was Tuesday, new release
day. Strangely, as Merry and her guards walked through the crowd,
everyone seemed to forget their movies. The guards were loaded down
with as much weaponary as they could carry. They seemed to have
caught everyone's eye.

Rhys headed straight to the classics section. Galen went towards the
action movies. Nicca saw a section entitled 'Anime' and stopped.
Pippin, Merry and Kitto had been behind him. They crowded around to
see what had captured Nicca's attention.

"These characters have hair like ours!" He said in an awed
voice. "I think I want to look at these, if you don't mind."

Merry laughed, "Just remember, one each. They do have a limit on how
many I can rent on my card at one time."

She, Pippin and Kitto walked along the new release wall. "What kind
of stories do you like, Kitto?" Pippin asked kindly.

"I remember hearing stories told to children that were nice. About
pumpkins turning into coaches, and ladies sleeping until princes
kissed them."

"DISNEY!" Pippin and Merry exclaimed together.

"What is Disney?" Kitto asked.

"Come on, Kitto, I'll show you." Merry took him by the hand and lead
him off. Rhys had returned carring Casa Blanca. He trailed Merry to
the children's section.

"There it is!" Pippin exclaimed.

"There's what?" Galen walked up.

"The one I want." He grabbed the box off the shelf.

"Isn't that that book you keep reading over and over?"

"Yea. They made it into a movie. What did you get?"

"Top Gun."

"Why am I not surprised?" Nicca asked behind them. "You get it
every single time we come."

They began to walk towards Merry's group and the checkouts. Everyone
converged together.

"Let's see," said Merry. She turned to Rhys. "Which Bogart movie
did you get?"

Humor gleamed in his single eye. "Play it agian, Sam," he said in a
bad Boggie accent.

"Casa Blanca agian? Okay, what about you, Nicca?" Merry turned to
her next guard.

"Something called Pokemon. The creatures looked cute and
dangerous." Nicca said.

Galen started laughing.

"What?" Nicca held his movie to him defensively.

"You are addicted to that cartoon! You are always watching it on the
tv."

"So? I didn't know they had made a movie."

Merry shook her head. She turned to Galen. "Was Top Gun in?"

" 'Goose, it's time to buzz the tower.' " Galen replied, grinning.

"What did you get, Pippin?" Rhys asked. Merry was laughing
hysterically at this point.

"Lord of the Rings." Pippin replied. "It's based on the books I'm
always reading. What about you, Merry? What did you and Kitto find?"

Kitto displayed Cinderella. Merry held up Sleeping Beauty, still
gigling. "Let's go." She said. "Rhys, grab a couple of bags of
popcorn."

Merry rented the videos and paid for the popcorn. As they walked out
the door, Pippin heard the clerk say. "They're Elves, so they rented
Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Lord of the Rings. Like they didn't
live those Fairy Tales."
