Merry and Frost stepped out of the bedroom and
joined the rest of the guards in the living room.
Everyone but Rory had expectant and worried expressions
on their faces. Merry took a seat in one of the
chairs facing the couch, Frost took a seat on the
arm of her chair and the rest of the guards arranged
themselves in front of her.
"We have a major problem," Merry began," Doyle
has already had a run in with your new friend from
the Seelie court Rory, compliments of the queen.
His back didn't fare much better then yours, but to
add to that he is expected to be challenged tonight
at a feast in honor of my cousin."
"We've got to get him out of there now." Rhys
said angerly
"That is my intention, but we can't just go
storming in there. So Barinthus is going to try and
get him out to me tonight." Frost said.
"I'm going to take Rory with me for backup, only
because I really don't trust your motives yet Rory.
The rest of you will be on heightened guard. There
will be no less then two guards outside at all times,
someone must be with Merry at all times and someone on
inside duty also. We can't take any chances until I
get back here with Doyle." Frost continued.
"Merry, I also think you should call the office
and alert them to the situation, and please until I
get back here don't leave the house. Just to be on the
safe side, we can't have you getting attacked again."
Frost said as he laid his hand on Merry's cheek
lovingly.
"Well I can't believe my eyes. Frost has fallen
in love with the princess," Rory said snidley.
"Rory I suggest that you keep your comments to
yourself, for I'm in no mood to deal with you at
the moment, but as soon as Doyle is safe again all
bets are off." Frost said coldly as he kissed Merry on
the forehead, and rose to gather his weapons.
