Isabel's Terror
Here is a few pictures of the disaster from Hurricane Isabel. I thought that they may be informative for you all. The first five are from about 10 minutes off of the island. The rest are from the island though.
This is what happend to our dune line...we had waves over 40 ft. tall!
This is where the dunes went, under houses. This house used to be able to have a 7ft. car under it. Now you couldn't even park your go-cart or shopping cart under it.
To get this picture I kind of had to get my feet wet. I was actually standing out in the ocean to show how close the water actually is. This house used to be safly behind a sand dune. Now you can see it's quite open to the elements.
Lastly this is my front yard. Who wants to join me in my new pool?
