Welcome To The World Of Marlene
Hello again to the loyal people who keep checking this site, even though I seem to be rarely keeping up with the updates. Today is Oct 27th, 2004 and I have so many updates on the baby news. Dylan is now 4 1/2 months old and growing like a weed. She weighs around 14 pounds and when she stands up her head is just above my knees. She is so active and alert. She likes to try and pull herself up to try and stand. She doesn't like to try and crawl, but move her legs, right, left, right, left, like she is walking. It is the most wonderful thing I have ever seen. She has started making so many different cooing noises that she has started carrying on little conversations with us. She makes a sound and we mimic it and then she makes another sound and we mimic it again. Then we make sounds and she makes a sound back at us. We will go on for about 20-30 minutes at a time like this. She loves watching movies. So far the ones that have fascinated her the most are Fantasia 2000, Finding Nemo and Treasure Planet. Pretty much anything that combines good music with bright colours that change quickly. She loves being outdoors, but we haven't been able to do much of that lately since it has been wet and rainy and cold. The temps have started dropping down to -2 and lower at night and there was a frost last week. Time to dig out the flanel sheets and her sleepers. Dylan likes to sleep in her crib and her fav toy right now is a Pooh Bear doll that is a rattle as well. She likes chewing on him and shaking him. We have two of these toys, so I keep one in the diaper bag for when we are out walking and one in her room for easy access to play with. She is a really content baby, nothing much seems to bother her. She doesn't mind music to fall asleep to or the TV being on. Having her fall asleep with background noise makes it easier for us to do our chores without waking her up.
