Quest for the Rose

Chapter 5
Slowly, two figures wandered across the painting. One tall with blonde hair and striking blue eyes, the other shorter, with blue hair and sad eyes as well. “LORRI!!!” Lygia shouted. “Lygia?” Lorri looked around, but could not tell where the voice had come from. The four in the real world felt themselves being pushed back into the world they had loved years ago. “LYGIA!!!” Lorri rushed to her friend, lifting her off the ground. “Oh, I missed you so much!! I really need you guys right now!” “Lorri, what’s wrong?” Lorri sighed. “There is so much to speak of. Two years ago, when I left you, I married Eli… Striker. And half way through this year, I had a son.” Lygia squealed in delight. “What’s his name? What’s he look like? Well, of course he would look like his father, but… Oh, can we see him?” Lorri’s eyes fell to the ground. “There lies the rub. He… he was taken a week ago” Lygia and Safire both gasped. “WHAT?!?” “We know nothing of why he was taken, or who took him. But Lorri was there, and the one who took him said… But there is too much to talk of now. Tonight, you shall be our guests. We are expecting four more guests” Chapter 6
The guests arrived as planned. Amy and Dayna came, Amy with her little girl and Dayna with twins of 8 months. “I thought you were not going to have children,” Lygia teased. “Mind your own bee’s wax” She laughed, and passed the baby girl and boy to her. The young ladies stayed up some of the night, talking over their lives since they had parted ways. “So you basically married him a week after you left us?” Laughed Lygia. Lorri nodded, then blushed, turning her head to the wall. “Lorri!!” Amy jumped up and carefully looked over a nasty looking cut on her head that had earlier been covered by her hair. “Oh it’s nothing. I fell and it’s just a tiny thing.” “No, it’s not. Did Striker see this?” “Yes. It’s fine” Amy sighed, falling once again on her knees. “Your still just as stubborn as you were when we left.” “Oh, hush up. Being married didn’t change me at all. Gosh, I can still sing every Backstreet boys song.” “No you can’t!” Shouted Lygia, elatedly. “They came out with a new album didn’t they?” Lorri guessed, laughing. Dayna sighed, ”You guys are still Just as bad!!” “Do you have it with you?” Asked Lorri, ignoring Dayna’s laments. “I think so.” Lygia went digging through her bag, first finding her Cd player, then the Cd in questions. Lorri eagerly slipped the head phones on. It had been along time since she heard the boys sing. The words to the song were beautiful and sad, just what the other girls thought Lorri looked right now.
