Damsels in Distress

Chapter 7 "I think I understand why you pulled the guys up" said Safire "Really? Why" "Less attention to you" "Well, I it didn't start out that way. Ol Striker decided I shouldn't be the one getting all the glory, so he jumped up. I was about to push him off, when the idea hit. Then, since it was AJ's part, I called him up. It turned out pretty cool" "I'll say. You guy rocked!" said Dayna. Before the night had ended, the crowds were once again screaming for their singer. "Slow one this time?" they screamed there approval. "K. Try this guys"

Dreaming comes so easily
Cuz it's all that I've known
True love is a fairytale
I'm damaged, so how would I know?

I'm scared
And I'm alone
I'm ashamed
And I need for you to know

I didn't say all the things I wanted to say
And you can’t take back what you have taken away
Cuz I feel you
I feel you near me
I didn't say all the things I wanted to say
And you can't take back what you have taken away
Cuz I feel you
I feel you near me

Every one seemed traced by her soft voice and powerful lyrics. She sang them as if she lived them. Little did they know she did. She stopped half way through the song, and ran from the stage. None followed after her. The girls knew she wanted to be alone. At least, that's what she had always told them. She was truly aching for companionship, but refused to bother anyone. She ran up the stairs and fled to her bed. There, the tears she had held back on stage flowed freely like a river. There was a knock on the door. One of the girls to check on her. She might as well see her. "Come… in" she squeaked, her voice choked with her sobs. A hand slowly rubbed her back. "I'm sorry about that. I didn't mean to. I just... do!" Her sobs became violent once again. "Sshhh..." the reply was soft and quiet. She still didn't know which of the girls it was. But she didn't care. "Will you stay with me till I fall asleep?" "Yes" Lorri tried to look up, but her tears blurred her sight. She was soon asleep.

Chapter 8 The next day, She was awoken by the girls’ laughter. She opened her eyes reluctantly and they laughed all the more. "What in the world is wrong with you fawny eyed gigglets?" Lorri had remembered this from a list of Shakespearean insults. "What?" asked Safire but just ended up laughing before she got an answer. "What are you laughing at?" She arose to a sitting position, and began laughing herself. They had covered her face with toothpaste. "Thank you guys. I really needed that" she smiled. They always seemed to know what she needed. "So, what do we do today? A whole dream world to explore. O, Where to start?" "No. I think we should get dressed first" said Dayna, pulling out her clothes out of her mistreated backpack. "K. That'll do." They each pick out an outfit. Lygia a pair of jeans a silver top. Dayna a blue top with khaki shorts. Safire her yellow tee with her short shorts which her mother never let her were. "I'm seventeen! I should be able to were it!" All agreed. I mean, they weren't even that short!! Lorri gave Amy one of her 16th century tops, with a pair of Amy’s black diva pants. "Now, if AJ doesn't like that, I don't know what he will" Lorri whispered in Amy’s ear as she was fiddling with her hair. She gasped. "Is it really that-?I mean can you-?Are we-?" "Babe," Lorri laughed, "if we were back on our planet, you would be going out" Amy sighed. "I like that" Lorri chose a simple brown top, (16th century, of course) and her black diva pants. When all were dressed, they went down stairs to find the guys. "Ah, the fair maidens have arrived!" said AJ from the bottom of the stairs a smile covering his face. "Thank you, kind sir. But we are not very fair" said Dayna, trying to work on her grammar. "Well, you may think that, but many of the young fellows last night would disagree" They all sat at a large table and talked with AJ for quite some time, about the party, and about Amaza himself. "Well, I come from quite a ways off. But came to this inn 3 years ago. I decided I liked it and stayed. Not much interesting. I do dream of fighting in this war some day, though." "War?" Lorri asked. Both she and Dayna were interested, for they both wanted to fight. "Yes. They battle for the castle. The one who rules the castle is king. But there are four deferent counties whom say they are the birth rulers." "And whom do you think is?" "Me? I think it is none of them. I think it is the rouge of the forest. The Black Fox" Lygia did a wonderful spit take. "I see you've heard of him?" "Well, in a way" she sputtered. "What makes you think he is the king?" "Well, he's the only one that seems like the old king. Kind, wise, and cares for his people above himself." "So, where might we find him?" "The Black Fox? Ha! You can't. He finds you" Lorri and Dayna sighed with dissatisfaction. "But who knows. You go roaming through these woods... you just might run into him." All the groups’ faces brightened. Now they had an adventure.
