Thoughts for Today
A.K.A. My Blog. Updated when i'm online frequently. Seemed a good idea to scare all you folks and get discussions started on topics I have an interest in!
I click on the below sites every day and it donates money for each click. This way you have an easy way of getting there if you wanted to do the same:

and it was worth it!!! :D :D :D :D I got 100% on it. I am now happy. Happy enough in fact to print off the course notes for the next section and think about writing my essay! Right now what do i know about networking?? I know that my pc is networked!! (If i look at this seriously i might know more than that but i fear it is lost in the vacuum of things once known that got sent to room 101 by other more useless things.) Getting the urge for exercise at the moment, but I need to convince someone around me that they want to as well and seem to not be getting much of a response! Should get a half hour swim in tomorrow, but for tonight, i think up and down the stairs (to the tv) has it. :( Ah well! Arthur is trying to get my attention, but I'm trying to show it my stubborn streak. Worth a try. |

Looking at courses again. Finally submitted a piece of coursework for my telematics course. Need to write an essay and want to get it done this week, not convinced it will happen, but I'll set the goal anyway. Cropredy at the end of the week. Would have loved to have gone to the jazz festival in London on the Sunday too, but no-one else wants to go. Half tempted to go anyway, but this is turning out to be a very expensive month. Worth it..but expensive nonetheless. ...I still might go anyway! I'm (hopefully) going on an Event Management course on Tuesday up in London with work. :D Really looking forward to it! I did a fair bit of event management at SUSU, but it would be nice to have a certificate in event management and some more tips on it. Plus I could transfer stuff across to help my new role - I know it sounds mad, but I love adding stuff on my To Do list! I'm half tempted to do a touchtyping course for free (got a few sites which i can pass on if you fancy it.) Obviously Arthur is not a fan of this plan, but then, i'm doing the typing anyway, getting more done before my wrists fail when i look to work on a different area, might be an idea. I'm also still intrigued by TEFL and, a course i found today, TEFL for businesses. TEFL or Teaching English as a Foreign Language, could be invaluable if i ever do get round to travelling properly, which i hope i will. |

Moving on from the general depressiveness of Monday.I went for distraction. That and I've had a couple of people get in contact which cheered me up considerably! Tuesday I went out for Rob's birthday and demonstrated how to do flaming sambuca properly. Flames in the mouth and all. Fun :) He didn't subscribe but oh well. He's finally reached 23! Happy Birthday Chair! Wednesday was a lazy morning followed by a manic err...day-and-a-half i suppose! I went up to London with Anthony, James and Lynne for Lynne's birthday treat - going to see the Lion King and then staying in a hotel! I really enjoyed the Lion King, i found the costumes and set especially impressive!! Then today, we wandered along to the British Museum and wandered around there for many, many hours!! Mostly exploring the 'Ancient Near East', 'Egypt' and 'Greeks and Romans' areas. Popping in to Gosh comics on the way (It's just opposite the museum and had to be done :D ) I've also arranged to be going to the Saturday of Cropredy next week. Having started my new role on Monday (which seems to be going well btw) I couldn't get the time off for the Thurs/Fri at the mo. I probably couldn't have afforded it after this couple of days either! Only a few weeks til Reading Festival too!! Oh dear I'm gonna be in a tent :s Meantime I have Reading for the Blind tom eve, followed by club schism. Then Saturday is going to end up being a girly day with Amy followed by a sleepover with awful magazines to pick apart! (As you do!) Useful tip for the day: If you are going to the British Museum and wandering around town during the same day, you can leave your backpacks in the British Museum cloakrooms as long as you pick them up by 8 when they close :) |

Despite the ongoing busyness, I've been feeling a bit 'off' lately. I have a long poster I made on my wall where I have written things I want to do in the grand scale of things, like learn sign language (:D), study abroad, become an author and always keep in touch with my friends. Right now, I am feeling a bit disappointed that sometimes other people's lists don't seem to coincide. I realise it's always unintentional, but one day I would like forgetfulness or busyness not to be an excuse and to see reflected the effort that goes in. Maybe one day. PLanswise, The job is sorted until March and I have an idea of what i would like to be doing for 4-6weeks after that. Post-France though, my plans are a bit, well... missing. |

Fear the stressbunny!! Seriously running around like headless blue a*sed chicken-fly (cross between a blue a*sed fly and headless chicken, before you ask!). Job app in. Sign language exam done (badly -stress is getting to me more these days it would appear :( ), now shortlisted for job and have tests tomorrow morning! Eep!!! IF i pass the tests, I get the job interview in the afternoon. Aaaaagh! and no i'm not skiving off of revising by being on here, i need to take time out once an hour so that stuff goes in. I'm still planning on a relatively early night and a bath...maybe! After this I'll make the final alterations to this site and send it in for my telematics course! Sooo far behind it's not funny!! :( Deep breath and a few minutes of Morcheeba and 'cloudy' lemonade done. Now, back to the test revision! |

| Congratulations to all those with newly acquired degrees! Seems a million years ago from here, but it's only been two years. I've been talking to friends about recruitment sites to look at and when it is best to start looking at the real world. It really is quite scary how quickly you are meant to be looking at your next job when you're in Uni and most people end up just leaving it until they've finished and can work for a year to pay off debt before looking for their ideal. So for all those who are about to start job hunting, regardless of what stage you are at in the education chain, Good Luck! Finally, I wanted to share the Book Exchange website! Bookcrossing n. the practice of leaving a book in a public place to be picked up and read by others, who then do likewise. Then track where it goes next on the website!! |
