Website | Why go there |
 | www.consultations.gov.uk | This site is where you can find what public consultations are currently happening. Some specific interests are in this table. |
 | www.dti.gov.uk/renewables /renew_2.2.5.htm | This links to where you can find out what's going on with, and give your own thoughts on, the Renewables Obligation.
The Renewables Obligation is the government target for the increase in the electricity supplied from renewable sources. The current target is 5.5% for 2005/06 rising to 15.4% by 2015/16.
It is expected that the Obligation, together with exemption from the Climate Change Levy for electricity from renewables, will provide support to industry of £1billion per year by 2010.

 | www.fco.gov.uk | This is something that I spotted and thought I would include as it seems that it is potentially quite a area. This public consultation looks at whether to create a new criminal offence relating to forced marriage. It has arguments for both sides on here. |
 | www.dfes.gov.uk/consultations /conDetails.cfm?consultationId=1346 | This one relates to 'simplifying the higher education application process'. As I went to University and worked for the students' union for a year, i find this stuff quite interesting. See what you think |
 | www.dfes.gov.uk/consultations /conDetails.cfm?consultationId=1372 | This is about the European Qualifications Framework. These will be what the UK submits to Europe over aims to allow qualifications in different countries to be able to relate to each other - this would all be on a voluntary basis. |
