Watch out, Fame
The Russian band of scandals will represent their country in Eurovision Song Contest.
If Tatu represent Russia they will be favourites all because of their name. That's what Anders Nunstedt wrote in Expressen after it was decided Fame will represent Sweden in Riga.
According to Russian Channel 1 Tatu will represent Russia. The duo will sing the song Ne Ver, Ne Bojsia. The song will most likely be sung in English but the English title is not finished yet.
Deliberate Lolita-image
The singers Julia Volkova, 17, and Lena Katina, 18, usually perform in girl schooluniforms with mini skirts and make out with pleasure on stage.
Question is, will Tatu keep their image on the ESC stage in front of millions of viewers. Their manager Ivan Shapovalo, who created the group three years ago, recently confessed he deliberately created a Lolita-image only to sell records.
The Russian manager made a reaserch of his own: What do people search for on the Internet? SEX
What do they look for? Young girls.
Tatu has now sold five million copies of their debute "200 km/h in the wrong lane". According to statements Julia and Lena have made 52,5 million skr [about $6,5 million]. What Ivan Shapovalov has made is unknown.
