Kami-Same wanted to be guardian of the Earth. To be the guardian, he had to get rid of the evil side of himself. But the evil part of him became alive and was called Piccolo-Deneiho. He was very powerful, but he met his match: Goku. Goku killed Piccolo, but before he died he spat out an egg. The egg contained all his thoughts and also the Piccolo we know now. When he was born, his main focus was to kill Goku. But after he started to train Gohan, his hatred faded.
