Everyone knows the story of Romeo and Juliet. Two young lovers from feuding households meet against all odds and fall in "love", only to be causalities of cruel Fate. Star-crossed indeed.

And everyone knows of the countless remakes of the tale. But, in the middle of the night, I came up with the idea to make Romeo and Juliet vampires, and have the feud be between clans rather than families.

Thus was Deep Scarlet, the story of Riley and July, born.
