some weapons were not so new at all.the most improtant weapon was still
the trusty rifle.soldiers in world war 1 {1914-1918}used rifles that
were as good as those used by any army in world war2 .in world war1 the rifles worked
very well because the fighting took place in open fields and demanded
long,accurate shots. the armies therefore, develolped rifles to frie such shots.these rifles wre still in use
by many not much different from the old ones used in world war1.
