- Be sure that you have credited every artist whose words, art, webdesign, etc have been used on your
site. If there is any unaccredited work, we will immediately require that you remove our graphics.
- Upload all the image files (.jpg/.gif) and the stylesheet if applicable (.css) to the directory where your main greymatter index file will be.
Please
note: If you make a new directory for images, you will need to make those changes in the greymatter template files as well.
- Log in to your greymatter control panel and click on Edit Templates > Edit Main Index-Related Templates.
- Open the greymatter.html file included in your zip within notepad or another html editor of your choice. In
the top input box named Main Index Template, in Greymatter, copy and paste the entire contents of this greymatter.html file.
- Save Template Changes at the bottom of the page in Greymatter.
- Now click on Edit Archive-Related Templates, then in the top box named Archive Master Index Template, replace what is
there with everything in the greymatter-archivemaster.html (included in the zip).
- Then in the next box down named Archive Log Index Template, replace the current content with everything in
the greymatter-archivelog.html (also included in the zip).
- Save Template Changes at the bottom of the page in Greymatter.
- Then click on Edit Entry-Related Templates, and replace the top template on that page named Entry Page Template: Current Standard Entries, with
everything in the greymatter-entrytemplates.html file that was included in the zip. Then below each
of the other template boxes on that page is a checkbox with "Make this the same as the above template (current standard entries)", these
will need to be checked under each of the remaining template boxes.
- Save Template Changes at the bottom of the page in Greymatter.
- Finally, click on Edit Header, Footer & Sidebar Templates. You will need to copy everything from the header.txt
file (in the zip file) to the Header Template, everything from the footer.txt file to the Footer Template, and
everything from the sidebar.txt file to the Sidebar Template. Now Save Template Changes.
- Click Return to Main Menu to go back to the main menu in your Greymatter Control Panel. Now, choose Rebuild Files > Rebuild Everything
(last choice on the Rebuild page). Let Greymatter rebuild the files and don't interrupt it as that will mess the whole process up. Once it is
done rebuilding, you should be able to go to your site and refresh and have the new template ready to use.
