Your task will be to make a presentation on a chemistry topic that relates

to real life. Your
group of 2-3 people  will have many choices. Your presentation

must be completed in
PowerPoint. You will present your work to your classmates in

2 weeks time. We will have time to do research at the library during two class

double periods (4 periods all together) and one class double period in the

computer lab.  You will be able to use PowerPoint on the school computers if you do

not have it at home. In the
resources section there are websites with PowerPoint

tutorials.

Your presentation must be at least 10 slides long (5-7 minutes). Your presentation should contain the following parts:

1.        Introduction to the topic in everyday terms. Include why you chose this topic
and why it is important to you and others around you. Include illustrations.

2.         How does this topic relate to chemistry? Please take the time to describe the
science behind your topic and how it relates to the chemistry you learned this
year

3.        Please include at least 3 new things your learned that you can share with the
class.

4.        How has this topic changed your perspective about chemistry?

5.        Sell your project to your classmates. Make a slide that describes why you
think your project should win the competition (described below).

At the end of the presentation students in your class will be given the  opportunity to rate your project. The scores will be determined by the Evaluation page  described in the end of this webquest. The group with the highest score wins.  So lets go to the process and see what happens
