Molly McQuinn growing up with her Irish emigrated parents rebelled quite a lot, always looking for more freedom. Her true love was music, playing it, writing, etc. - if it dealt with music, she loved it. One night in 1978 at Dodger Stadium, she meets a guitar player named Rick Phillips and they instantly hit it off. After just one night of meeting they stay up all night talking of their dreams, fears, goals and everything under the sun. They play their first concert together as well, and are a big success with the crowd. A few months after meeting, Molly takes Rick to a family picnic where her grandmother gives them matching silver Celtic style rings but no one knows why. A short time later the couple marries. Along with a friend of Rick's named John Kane, they form the group the Phillips-Kane Band where they release several albums that do quite well on the charts. Rick and Molly have two kids born in around 1981 and 1984. Then tragedy strikes on September 15th, 1988: Rick is involved in a car accident and loses his life. The Phillips-Kane band calls it quits and Molly joins an advisement firm where she writes jingles. Ten years pass and Molly discovers she misses the music so quits her job and starts working on a comeback. With her best friends Irene and Ned as her manager and roadie she’s all set. So with family on hand she hits the road doing her one true love yet again.
