Lilah's bio
Lilah Morgan is a lawyer at Wolfram and Hart, the evil law firm. Lilah and Lindsey spent some time working at the same level in the law firm, rivals for the same position, head of the department of "Entertainment Ventures." More was at stake than just a job; the loser would be cut from the company. While Lindsey was usually one step ahead of Lilah in their competitive games, Lilah was always considerably more reliable. Lindsey's tendency to switch sides when things got too intense, and his mixed feelings about Wolfram and Hart, eventually motivated him to quit Wolfram and Hart. By default, Lilah won the longed-for promotion that they had been competing for, and became the person directly in charge of dealing with Angel Investigations. Of the lawers there, she has had the most direct experience dealing with Angel's gang, along with Lindsey MacDonald, her former colleague and competitor. They worked closely together to bring Darla back from the dead and to control her once she had returned. Lilah is backstabbing, cunning, bitchy, amoral, and ambitious -- but she has a certain charm. And she sort of reminds us of how Cordelia used to be. You have to respect a woman who has worked that hard for power and knows how to keep it. Adding interest to her status as a villain, she is human. She sometimes has doubts and second thoughts. She may have a soft side, which she showed a little in "Untouched," the episode with the telekinetic Bethany. She has weaknesses and inner conflicts. What was she thinking when she allowed Angel to nearly seduce her? What will happen the next time her best interests at her job conflict with her sense of self as a vicious bitch, as they did in "Billy"? I was glad to see that the vicious bitch won out in that case. she died awhile ago, but that doesn't mean her contract with Wolfram & Hart has been terminated. She's still working for them and still isn't afraid to lie, cheat, frame, steal, bend the law, and look sharp doing it.
