At my office yesterday, just a couple of blocks down the road someone was in a horrible motorcycle accident where eye witnesses couldn't even identify the victims as human beings (of the victims was a friend of a friend of mine). At the same time I was told that this accident took place I had a man on the phone near crying because he thought we were being mean to him because his cable was out (he had been disconnected for non-payment). The man had to be in his 30's or 40's. This captures the essence of this job so well, or rather, my contempt for it. Oh well, at least we still have our freedoms of speech, privacy and right to vote for whomever we want. Oh wait we don't. Thanks to a wonderful new law people in Alaska can only vote for one party, they have to choose a party prior to voting and can only vote straight ticket. How much does that suck? To top off my wonderful start to this week, my computer's cooling fans busted-waiting for them to send me replacements. Oh well, it looks like I'm going to build my next computer so I can at least keep track of quality control (and not rely on some company worried about their bottom line rather than their product). In a way, it's been nice having the computer off for these last few days. Spending more time talking on the phone with friends, playing old playstation games I haven't played for a while (and apparently sorely out of practice on) and just having fun away from the computer. Though I still would like to finish my NeverWinter module. :-) Thank you God!
