About a year ago, while wandering aimlessly through my local K-Mart, I found myself hunting for a new computer game.  I had several that I hadn't played yet, but I wanted something different than the mystery ones I had at the house.  I saw something that caught my eye, and upon looking at the box, I knew I had found exactly what I had been looking for.  Alice in Wonderland had long since been something that had interested me.  A cat that could appear first as a set of grinning teeth, tea parties with Mad Hatter, and the elusive white rabbit, it seemed like a good way to escape life for a while.  But at my then age of 23, I had grown out of Alice in Wonderland.  Escaping to the happy but strange land of Wonderland didn't appeal much to me anymore.  With my current attitude towards life lending my brain to prefer escaping to Unreal Tournament for a bit of blood and guts, the thought of a tea party with Mad Hatter didn't seem all that appealing.  So when I saw this nice black box, with the word Alice in big letters, with this picture of a grinning cat and a girl holding a bloody knife, I was naturally curious.  It kinda reminded me of Alice in Wonderland, but a bloody knife?  What on earth??  So I picked up the box, and began reading and looking and suddenly started grinning.  This was exactly the kind of game I needed.  So I bought it, with a snide comment from a former co-worker about it being a bit different than my usual.  I simply smiled and replied, "I'm in a bloody mood, this looks like fun."  Upon arriving home, I dug in, not wanting to waste any time.  At first glance, I almost ditched the enclosed booklet, but on second thought, I decided to read it before playing the game.  After reading it, I knew I was in love.  Not only was it a Wonderland I could relate to, but a psycho Alice (hear a quote here) made it all the better!  Then I started to play, and soon discovered the wacky looking White Rabbit (hear a quote here), the new/scruffy/sarcastic Cheshire Cat (hear a quote here), and the crazy people who you have to talk to to get information (hear a quote here).  There are the villains such as the Duchess, the Mad Hatter, the Jabberwock, and the horrible Red Queen (hear a quote here).  It was the perfect game for me.  It was better than playing Unreal Tournament after a particularly difficult day at work.  I could escape for hours into this strange, twisted world and still do the same killing to vent frustration, but with an air of sarcasm to match my own.  It was great.  I suppose I could list all of the cool thing's I've found about the game, however I think it would be easier just to link to the different sites that I've found them on.  So if you enjoy Alice as much as I do or want to know more, go explore the links below.  If you have an Alice site and want me to put up a link, feel free to email me.
